Where were the parents? When I was that age I actually believed that my mother had eyes in the back of her head, and I didn't figure out that a belt was actually used for something besides beating my ass till some years later.

I actually have a cousin this age and I don't see it happening, this kid must have been a bit dull unless he was pretending and slipped.
