The point was that you were bashing Apple's decision to sell watches at Kohl's....

Actually, I wasn't. If they wish to sell there, more power to them. Since I am not in the market for a smart watch, it goes without saying I don't care where Apple sells the Apple watch.

Furthermore, you are mistaken if you believe that I think my own personal tastes and wants dictate what Apple SHOULD do. Apple should sell the Apple Watch so that in the future when it gets better, I might be interested in buying it.

In my small part of the universe I see a notably increasing share of people wearing a variety of smart watches these days, including Apple Watch.

What specific part of the universe would that be? :)

Here in Japan, I myself do NOT see an increasing number of people wearing smart watches. And I've never seen a single person who is Japanese wearing an Apple Watch. I realize that other countries may be different, but here in "high tech" Japan people love their smart phones but not smart watches.

Another consideration is demographics. In your own part of the universe, are these smart watch wearing people mostly men? Are they 18-35? What kind of people you are seeing shows what kind of market there is for the Apple watch and smart watches in general. I am not saying there is no market. But with longer battery life and more functionality not tied to a smart phone, I would expect the market to broaden, even here in Japan.

The California, United States part. I know two women who wear an Apple Watch and I don't even work in an office. Just walking around I see quite a few people of various ages and both genders wearing them, as well as a variety of other smart watches. Some of those suckers are huge, much larger and more prominent than Apple Watch, so you notice them whether you are looking or not. Why they perhaps aren't catching on in Japan is an interesting question, assuming that is the case, but here at least they seem to have found an audience. It isn't a smartphone huge sort of an audience, but an audience just the same.
