Hyundai/KIA were given a time out and made to think that Apple could pick someone else because they broke the sacred first rule of Apple Club that you don’t talk about Apple Club.

In the end, Tim Cook will make the best decision for the company and if that’s KIA, then he’ll call them back after they’ve had their time out.
This!

I have a Kia and managed to break it by not getting it serviced. The mechanic who came to rescue me was quite surpirsed it had broken because 'they are almost indestructible- but you have managed to do it'

140,000 miles on the clock and it still limps on. The only thing that does not work is the Bluetooth connection.

It’s kind of like your exGF..she kept coming back..she might not like you but she knows the sex is awesome

Only difference is these companies were never a couple and only had others talk about them.

Yeah sounds totally fetched from even thinner air than the article. But entertaining for sure

Problem seems to be bad LG Chem batteries.

Chevy in November recalled 70,000 Bolts due to bad LG Chem batteries too.

I don't see this as a direct problem with Hyundai/Kia themselves, but rather bad parts/supplier. It's no different than the tens of millions of cars that had to be recalled due to bad Takata air bag inflators.
How many iPhones 6 should apple have recalled? Ok - no more questions!

Looks like a ripped off Audi design to me. Not bad at all just very very inspired.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that the Chief Design Officer / Chief Creative Officer at Hyundai is Luc Donckerwolke who happened to be the design director for Audi.

CCO Donckerwolke will be in charge of design-related communications about topics such as Genesis brand, dedicated BEV lineup brand IONIQ and fuel cell vehicles.

I am in no way convinced that an Apple car will ever be a real product. 2028 seems far too optimistic, 2040 might be more realistic if they ever actually do it.

I think it's somebody's pet side project, with no real intent to make a shipping product at any point in the near future.

Apple obviously isn't going to make a traditional car, but their self-driving testing is basically line noise compared to actual car companies (and of course Google) that are serious about it.

Cheers! That makes sense now.

i would find a new mechanic fast , anyone calling a KIA indestructible has never worked on one.

Friend had a Kia. She was driving down the highway when a piston connecting rod broke. The car had 40,000 miles on it.

Company I was working for rented a Kia soronto for me to drive. It felt dangerously slow getting on the highway and going up mountains was terrifying.

I rather buy a Hyundai than drive another Kia that feels like the space shuttle Columbia
My father owns a Kia Stinger GT and it’s an amazing car.

Just as we'd got over the horrors of Daewoo as well…

Let’s bury these in a time capsule for the next generations to enjoy and we are rid of them. If we could include any British cars before Ford bought some of them out in the 90s that would be great too.

On the other hand this stuff falls apart just from the wind touching it, so we could just wait it out.
