I just don't get the reason behind apple thinking here, why are they adding Oled on the iPad Air and the clearly lesser technology on the more expensive iPad Pro?
Anyway, that's the iPad I been waiting for to replace my 2018 pro, the 12.9' is just too big for me.
Several reasons I can think of:
1) iPad Air must sell in larger numbers, think iPhone 12 vs iPhone 12 Pro. Besides, fitting OLED would probably increase its price.
2) iPad Air’s target use is consumption, so the overall colour accuracy and balance do not matter as much. I guess if someone spends hours drawing/sketching/designing (production) on an iPad, a Pro with its mini-LED would handle these tasks better.
