Ah yes, because Apple “knew” when they added Face ID to the iPhones back in 2017, that three years later everyone would be wearing masks out in public.
To your point, Apple did release an iPhone with touch ID, in April 2020. Right at the beginning of the pandemic.
Fingerprint scanner is rumored to come to this year‘s iPhone, which was probably mostly worked on last year. Keep in mind that Apple is such a big company, that they usually work 1 to 2 years ahead. The iPhone 12 that came out last year was probably finalized long before the pandemic took over.
Some of you people think that Apple can snap a finger, and have exactly what you want ready exactly when you want it, but it’s just not how a company works, especially a company that has to ship millions and millions and millions of product every year.
Mask unlock using the watch is software , not hardware. Im just confused as to why it took a company with Apple's resources an entire year to figure it out for iOS 14.5. This is a situation where people would be perfectly fine if Apple skipped the emoji or whatever much less useful feature and reallocated resources (as they do with many various projects) to get something like this done quicker.

Because some things, like adding emoji‘s, take five seconds. Other things, like security features which would include mask unlock with Apple Watch, take a lot longer to perfect. We have to make sure there’s no security flaws, make sure there’s no workarounds, etc., etc., etc. It’s a lot harder than a lot of people think, clicking a couple buttons and all of a sudden the feature is added in.

same people that complain about bugs then they complain beta period to long, imagine if they were on android...these peeps would have heart attacks waiting for updates.
Some of these people are half tard,

Oh like mask unlock for iPhone? That only took a year where face ID was/still is completely useless in public.
I bet u r the first to complain if there is a bug in the new software, u want updates without proper beta testing and you want zero bugs.
So basically you think you know more than the software people at apple..... u must be really smart.

The ultimate “if you just kind of say a little bit of everything, eventually you’ll be right about something”

Kuo agrees with me: Siri sucks, and that effects all the other products, especially ones like HomePod and AirPods. It's embarrassing that Apple users must suffer the worst major AI assistant on the market. They allowed Amazon to become the leader in Virtual Assistants, even thought Apple was there first. It's even more embarrassing that Apple is running away from the HomePod after just few years. Abandoning a huge and important category because they can't get their act together and make Siri better.

Agree to the fact that AirPods are not special anymore, especially for that price.

I have AirPods and later on got the controversial Galaxy Buds Live. Comparing the AirPods, for my ears since I push bud live tightly into my ears they sound much better than AirPods. The noice cancelling is not super effective but it does help out a little bit comparing to AirPods not usable in the subway. Buds live also connects when you put them in your ear automatically. the only thing it doesn't do is automatically switching to another device but I rarely use that.

With samsung's constant promotion I got my buds live at around 70 which is way cheaper than AirPods 2 even when that's on sale. I have airpods and buds live next to each other and I find myself constantly reaching for buds live when I go out
