I'm 61. I should be dead by the time civilization fully crashes. I have no kids so whatever. Why do people trust generative AI? ... It's going to make our current torrent of misinformation worse and cause a lot more harm than good. Just, no.
Microsoft is investing $10B in OpenAI, and just today announced they’ll be spending US$3.2B on AI and cloud capacities in Australia. And I’m sure those aren’t their only investments.Okay yeah this one is definitely smells like a honeypot rumor. I seriously doubt Apple would spend that much on AI when not even Microsoft spends that much on their AI servers. Hell Microsoft's AI spending hasn't even crossed a billion.
I think you have to turn it upside down for charging though. No one told them it was a real car... so unfortunately what they made was a scale model :/
But it does have a dock for your iPhone and you can place your AirPods in the trunk![]()
I asked ChatGPT that question; it lists (I've condensed the spew significantly): "Consistency, Objectivity, Efficiency, Reduction of Human Error, Adaptability, Continuous Learning, Accessibility, Creativity, and Predictive Abilities." You'll notice "Correctness" or "Accuracy" is not highlighted. Why do people trust generative AI?
Huh? Microsoft has spent billions over the years on AI. They spent $1 billion alone in 2019 on OpenAI; They've spent at least $13 billion to date on OpenAI.Okay yeah this one is definitely smells like a honeypot rumor. You need orders of magnitude more GPU power, and also significantly more RAM, for something like ChatGPT, not to mention the power usage. It’s a very resource-hungry tech. What's happened to privcy nd doing AI on the phones?

Microsoft have an ecosystem, but it's more focused in business and the enterprise. They already have CoPilot in every MS Office 365 application and some services, Windows 11, Dynamics 365, GitHub and even security services.Microsoft doesn't have an ecosystem lock compared to Apple.
Apple Music, TV, News, Maps, iMessage, iPhone, Mac, etc. All of those working together using one AI is worth spending on.

Is this some kind of joke? MS spends way more for their AI server infrastructure. You're acting as if $4.5 billion is a lot for Apple to spend given their total user base. $4.5 billion for a company the size of Apple is table stakes.Okay yeah this one is definitely smells like a honeypot rumor. That’s a good question. I feel strongly that the future of Apple’s AI security won’t be forcing everything to be on the phone, because they will fall hopelessly behind in quality of service, but Apple developing next-level encryption and other protections that will make taking advantage of cloud-based power a trustworthy approach. What's happened to privcy nd doing AI on the phones?
Finally a grown-up on here who understands… numbers. Is this some kind of joke? MS spends way more for their AI server infrastructure. You're acting as if $4.5 billion is a lot for Apple to spend given their total user base. $4.5 billion for a company the size of Apple is table stakes.
I know zilch about these chips, can you say more about the advantages and disadvantages of each?Apple is more likely to invest in AMD EPYC Servers and the very soon to be released MI300, over Nvidia.
