There's a rumored event within the next month. If that's true, the 14"/16" MBP will hopefully be available right away or within a couple weeks (for holiday season). Apple has pretty consistently had multiple Fall events the past 5 or so years. They had three last year.

There's a rumored event within the next month. If that's true, the 14"/16" MBP will hopefully be available right away or within a couple weeks (for holiday season). Apple has pretty consistently had multiple Fall events the past 5 or so years. They had three last year.
The recent event was an iPhone event. Apple rarely combines Mac and iPhone in one event. They often have more than one project announcement in the fall. Last year they had 3 events, once in Sept (iPad and Watch), one in October (iPhone) and one in November (new M1 Macs).
All signs point to them doing another announcement in either October or November that is expected to unveil new Macbook Pros with updated Apple Silicon chips and new case designs. They may include updated Mac minis at that time, too. Rumors suggest that a new larger iMac will not be announced until early 2022 and a new design for the Air in mid to late 2022. Eventually, probably very late in 2022, they will reveal their plans for an Apple Silicon Mac Pro.
The industry-wide supply change bottlenecks and Apple-specific delays for the mini-LED display components mean that supplies are tight and it is hard for watchers or even Apple to know exactly what can be delivered when.
