Who said it was useful? That remains to be seen.

AR was supposed to useful too. It isn't.

My bad, my bad.... I guess it’s just as hard for you to imagine a useful product like Tile, only w/ the added benefit of better accuracy as it is (to you) like figuring out how a brand-new tech, that’s not already proven as useful will play out.

So eventually you will be able to track down all your Apple stuff (when updated to include the needed hardware) and other tagged stuff with AR; iPhone, AirPod, ATV remote, laptop... your kid! And all down to 5-10cm in precision!?
That is darn cool if you ask me - date I say innovative :)

I think I’m more excited for this than the iphones/iPad/Apple Watch. Tile had saved me so many arguments and so much stress over the years, if apples made it better I’m all for it.

Definitely hope they are flat on the sides. I'd like to put one in my wallet. I misplace that damn thing far too much.

The AR capability is what's going to put this over the top and why this is actually something I'm excited about. I'm more looking forward to this than the new phones. I will likely end up getting 4 or 5.

Will be interested on battery life. I've never used Tile so I don't even know what the current standard is for something like this. Maybe it could recharge with inductive charging and you could use the new iPhone to reverse wireless charge it on the back of the phone? I don't know.

Saw someone in the other thread have the idea of including this 'Tile'-like feature in the new Apple TV remote. Now that I've heard that idea I'm going to be very bummed if it doesn't have that feature. That would actually be a "killer" feature in my opinion.

Looking forward to this.

What Pathetic humans we have become requiring nannies to do everything for us so we don’t have to actually use our own god given brain.
Tim is genius at making us reliant on Apple for everything. And you lot think this is a good thing.

Actually, knowing how the brain works, and that each decision/memory activity takes a serious toll on brain power, not having to remember this type of information is quite useful. Obviously the key is what you do with the "freed" brain power. For me, this is a potential life saver.

Prediction: Within the next three years Apple will release a "wipe my backside for me" app. Will be a monthly subscription and part of Apple Health (greatest contribution to mankind) so it will tick two boxes on Tim's annual appraisal.

Because it's so like Apple to release a premium product with totally new technology for a price lower than the competitor.

I see these coming in at $39 a piece and they will sell incredibly well.
Realistically they will be £49, like the Apple Watch sport bands.

I found a much better solution than a wallet.
I understand that it's not for everyone, but for me and my wife it was life changing.

I'm running iOS13.1 and i keep getting an annoying popup that says Tile is tracking my location in the background. Me and my tinfoil hat believe this is an indication Apple is about to release a product in this space. I'm not getting any popups about Find me tracking my location....

You'll use the cancelled PowerPad, or whatever it was going to be called, to re-charge them. Or it could be $100 to replace the battery. Apple's choice.
Yep I was going to say that they might have rechargeable batteries and support reverse charging on the new phones to entice us to buy new phones and tiles

I know that these are “just” trackers, but I feel like Apple will take what Tile have done and make it a lot better.

I will buy a few of these if they are not tied to some expensive subscription service.

Good that  is doing this because as a long-time Tile user, I've had it.
Just yesterday, Tile proved that I am wasting my money on their sub-par setup. It used to be good, but honestly, I can't wait to get rid of them now.

Wife lost her keys while shopping. Do you think Tile had even "seen" her keys (with Tile Pro) in the last two days, even though they're in the same purse? No - big fat NO.

So, bring it on  - I can't wait.

Yea, I've been dissapointed in my Tile Pro's for the last year. I've not lost anything, but when I've tested them out, the last location my Tile shows is where I left it. That's not exactly helpful and I the reason I purchased it was due to crowdsourcing the location of the Tiles. But, if no one else in a 50 mile radius is using Tile on their iOS devices, then it does me no good.
