For a lot of people a visible crease isn't a big deal. For some people it is a big deal. Luckily Apple will sell multiple different iPhone models.

As mentioned right in my post, they are sold in the millions. Not hundreds of millions, but millions. However, this includes both flip phone styles and the mini-tablet styles. I suspect a lot of people here would love to buy a iPhone flip phone. These are 3-4" folded but 6"+ unfolded.

BTW, I've mentioned this before elsewhere, but Samsung puts tons of foldable phone product placement into K-dramas these days. It's almost become a trope to see a character aggressively close their Samsung flip phone to hang up on someone. 🤪
well the demo models I've seen all have noticeable creases.
And that's just sitting in a shop not everyday wear and tear.

I know noone who owns one.
And noone who say they want one.
And never see one used in the wild.

I remember the old T9 flip phones. Had a couple.
They fit in a pocket better but the thickness wasnt great.
Some Nokia banana phones felt more natural with their pull down mics exposing keys.

I get there's little innovation lately. We had that period where designers tried all different form factors.
None really took off. Perhaps the large glass slab 99% of us use now works well enough at different price points.

Exactly……and the real reason why there is no touchscreen on MacBooks…..they are afraid it will hurt iPad sales….
I've had touch screen Windows devices.
Rarely if ever touched the screen ... hate the finger prints and a mouse just worked better ;)

and we have 2 touchscreen laptops in our family and constantly we use that awesome feature.
Then you don't like finger print touches on a laptop....but they are not an issue on an iPad??? Make it make sense......;)
