Honestly my wifi on my 13 pro max vs my iPhone 6S is very similar. Barely any real world difference.

Would love to see the difference between the proposed and day, an iPhone 11.

Show me safari, game downloads, Mail, etc. some random rubbish test from the seller of the tech, I have learned over the years, and a lot of money spent.. means Jack.

Give me a real upgrade or tech to be excited about.

The rumour would be more shocking if Apple wasn't planning on moving the upcoming iPhones to wifi 6E - or do a Homepod v2 skit by downgrading to wifi 4?

That's too bad, as by the time the iPhone 15 comes out, wifi 7 devices will already be available.
And every wifi you encounter outside of your home will still be on poorly configured wifi 5 with like zero backhaul.

Meanwhile at home:
  • I'll have finally installed a few Wifi 6E access points once Ubiquiti gets their act together and makes them widely available.
  • AT&T will still not have installed Fiber in my neighborhood despite the fact that it is all around me, relegating me to stupid Spectrum cable with a Max 1000/35 connection.
  • Every site I DO access through this setup will still be be bogged down and limited to 75mbps download speeds
  • Every hotel I stay at will still have ****** 2.4 ghz wifi capped at 25mbps that they charge $18/night for.
  • The airplane I'm on will have a total of 25mbps download & 3 up shared across the entire plane, with a blazing fast 900ms latency. That is when it doesn't drop out every time the plane makes a .0005 degree course change.

But I guess I'll notice the benefit in my airdrops? Oh no wait.. my M1 Max laptop only supports Wifi 6... DAMMIT!!

Apple is also planning Wi-Fi 7 integration as soon as the standard is finalized.

Hey I can do this too.

I bought my 12PM 256gb in 2020 with 2 years contract. When I thought about buying 14PM 256gb the price difference was around 37% with extra offer and now it is about 42.8%! So, it depends on the price factor if I will purchase a 15PM or change battery in my 12PM to use for another 2 years. Increased pricing policy which Apple brought in the European market caused that a lot people started using their phones for 3 years or more.

It'll be interesting to see if its on the base 15's - guessing its part of the Qualcomm chip(?) that they get wireless from and should be easy to have for all the 15's (since its not part of the SOC). But we'll see.

What's the point to have latest Wi-Fi technology in the phone.
There is no more new wifi router.
We're stuck with Time Capsule with 802.11ac

I have a 6e router (Lynksys Atlas) and the latest iPad Pro (with 6e). Can't say that I see any performance difference whatsoever between this set up and my former wifi 6 router (Eero 6 Pro). I don't think the iPad has ever used the 6 GHz band.
For folks with more than 75 devices and/or heavily congested environments 6e may be a benefit; for many it will be like Gen. 5 cellular, i.e. a non-event.
