I scare to ask.

Okay, I will ask.

How skinny is your jeans?

I don’t wear jeans often anymore but when I do they aren’t the very skinny kind. I like room to keep things in my front pockets. With skinny jeans trying to get both my phone and wallet into a front pocket, while possible, is a PITA. Especially if I’m sitting or driving and need to get either one out if my pocket then back in.

There has been "robust" demand for the iPhone 15 Pro Max since the device became available to pre-order on Friday, according to supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

In a post on Medium today, Kuo said iPhone 15 Pro Max demand has outpaced iPhone 14 Pro Max demand during the equivalent period last year. However, he said demand for the iPhone 15 Pro is weaker than it was for the iPhone 14 Pro so far, which he believes could be the result of more customers choosing to buy the Pro Max model this year.

iPhone 15 Pro Max exclusively features an upgraded Telephoto lens with up to 5x optical zoom, compared to up to 3x on the iPhone 15 Pro. In the U.S., pricing for the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at $1,199 for 256GB of storage, with Apple no longer offering the Pro Max with 128GB of storage for $1,099 like it did in years past.

Kuo reiterated that the iPhone 15 Pro Max entered mass production later than the other devices in the iPhone 15 series, which has contributed to the device's lengthy shipping delays. In the U.S., some configurations of the iPhone 15 Pro Max are currently estimated for delivery in November on Apple's online store. He said the Pro Max continues to face production challenges that are "more pronounced" than they are for the other models.

Kuo believes that demand for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus has been "roughly on par" with the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus after the same amount of time.

All four iPhone 15 models will launch on Friday, September 22.

I am surprised that they did not replace the 128GB SKU with a 2TB SKU.
I would have at least felt better if they did that or got rid of 128 on both pros instead of just ending 128 max without any replacement. Just because you need a bigger screen doesn't mean you need more storage

Hear, hear!

I'm scratching my head as to why I now have to spend an extra $100 for +128GB I'll likely never use.

I'm just using 36GB now. I do not have any games installed. Any apps I have not used in 6 months I unload.

They sell in decent numbers for those who want something new but don’t want to spend the extra for the Pro. IOW, people who aren’t waking up early on a Friday morning to pre-order, but who simply order new phones (or go to carrier shops) when they get their upgrade notices.
And now with Max 128 axed, it's $300 between base Plus and Max. That may sway me toward Plus since I just need the larger screen

I can’t imagine a Pro Max fitting into skinny jeans. My favorite jeans are Revtown Automatic. A fairly relaxed fit.

iPhone 12 basically brought 5g and OLED displays.
Ah! Was not aware, mostly just remember the stainless steel being new (albeit not revolutionary), I did remember my girlfriend at the time had an iPhone 11 and got mad whenever stuff loaded faster for me.

Didnt realize about the display! I've been comparing my 15 pro to my 12 pro and the colors and sharpness are difnitely different! But yeah, didnt realize the iPhone 12 was OLED too.
