God damnit. I don't WANT a massive phone anymore. I want the best features though. Stop doing this crap, Apple!

2024 rumors are easier to retract from than 2023 ones, we seem to be getting much more of those lately which at least indicates for me that he doesn’t have a handle on his supply chain sources anymore…
But, periscope lens and USB-C will make me get the 15
Yeah the 15 better be getting USB-C or I'm gonna be so disappointed.

It might be a nice feature but I'm simply not interested in having my phone be as large and heavy as a Max sized device, which is already close to carrying a thin point & shoot camera in your pocket. To each their own, but my current 14pro is as bulky and heavy as I'll tolerate for a phone. Perhaps the tech will eventually find its way into more compact devices?

Gotta love how we are making predictions on features exclusive to the iPhone 16 Pro Max that are not yet even released in the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Why this rumor matters when it is 20 months away eludes me.

We've seen this kind of comment a thousand times.

It's kinda in the name of the website. If they start limiting rumors even from such a well-known supply chain analyst then why would the site even exist.

Leave it to the reader; don't like the headline, don't read the article.

Did anybody predict the iPhone 14 Pro would be a buggy disaster, likely due to a chip design flaw and a rushed fix? Nope.

Hard to tell this far out what’s going to materialize.
What flaw is in the chip design. And the 14pm has been great, what are you talking about?

Fixed lenses tend to take better pictures so this is a risky move. Imagine if the cheaper phones have better image quality. Maybe they'll have to play with image processing to make sure that doesn't happen. :)

Make a 16 pro mini, charge a premium I don’t particularly care. I think they’ll see the small sales was because they didn’t pump enough features into it and didn’t give it the proper battery life. The iPhone 12 mini scared many from going to the 13mini meanwhile my 13mini is the best phone I’ve ever had except for the camera and battery. Battery hasn’t really been an issue because I can’t remember the last time I wasn’t able to charge it. But the better camera, screen, and efficiency of the new CPUs would make me pay a lot more. Until then I haven’t had a single reason to “upgrade” and when this mini ages I’ll probably buy another one. First time I’ve never not upgraded to the latest models.

They’ve been working on it for a few years now they won’t implement unless they’ve nailed it.

Such a disgusting move by Apple! This fragmentation for every single thing is just a testament to their never ending obsesion to extract even more money. These huge and ultra rich companies are no good. All should be taken down.
Starting from Google and Apple. How many different iPhone models per year we have? What's their cost to make and how much they earn per phone? How much money in the banks they have? When is it enough?! Devils.
If people were smrt enough, which they aren't to boycott these money driven decisions.

Fine by me. I plan to upgrade my iphone 11 pro max to a 15 pro max this year for the periscope camera among other things.

Next week on Mac Rumours: iPhone 18 to have full light field capture / processing and will add a focus depth slider to the Gallery. But this will remain a pro feature on the iPhone 19 and only make it into the reintroduced iPhone mini in the mini 20.

KUO please tell us about the 2030 iphone...this is ridiculous

Didn't you hear?! It's the iPhone 22 Progami. It will feature a highly portable, zero-bevel screen with 6 folding points allowing the phone to be reduced to fit into the side of the iPod Pro Micro case. If you opt for the larger Progami Max, it will feature a retractable turbine allowing you recharge your 30 day battery on windy days, or while you are riding your bike or surfing.

"Limited Edition", limited to how many they can make because everyone wants the Pro Max.

It would be epic if the 15 Pro Max had a titanium body similar to Watch Ultra, differentiating it from a normal Pro.

This explains a lot. In October, Nikkei revealed that the A16 chip used in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max cost $110, 2.5x more than the A15 used in the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, despite its marginal performance gains. Since release, there have also been reports of multiple graphics glitcheswith iPhone 14 Pro models.

I would prefer the Pro Max Ultra. Sounds way cooler. And big enough to stuff in a periscope lens that's apparently too large for its smaller siblings. Not sure how the other companies do it?
Pop up periscope, like a submarine?🤔

Better yet, forget the periscope. Slap in a mini lense mount. That why we can have a 100,000,000x zoom. I want to be able to see Neil Armstrong's moon in my moon shot.😏

Man if they show up years late with a periscope lens and it’s only 6x I’m buying a nothing phone.
The current system of three or four prime lenses that covers the same focal range is far, far superior to one zoom lense. Primes are faster, smaller and sharper. It'll need to be 20-50x zoom to move the needle for me.

Current phone cameras are borderline usable to me.😕 I find them imminently convenient when scouting a location for a shoot, but I would use my SLR for the actual shoot itself.
