Agreed. I'm not a fan of the following:
White bezels
White keyboards
Easter Egg chassis colors

Really makes you wonder why Apple is abandoning black bezels on the iMac when clearly black bezels were considered as an upgrade at one time (when MBA’s were finally caught up to MBP’s which had black bezels)…it wasn’t too long ago when the silver bezel MBA’s were considered cheap and inferior-looking…
As far as the MBA white bezel guesses…if they do come to be, it would make me really wonder if Apple is force-feeding white bezels now for sake of something different to market but under the guise as a supposed premium design feature of being less “distracting” and more “blending into the background,” catering to the delusions of zero bezels being ideal in an iPad, iphone, or MacBook, or if once again an MBA with white bezels will reflect its “entry level model“ stance while the next MBP retains black bezels.
I for one consider black bezels the best at framing in your content for focus, whether it be on an iPad or Macbook. Zero bezels would be not too far from the delusional design ”improvement” of transparent app borders in windows & Mac OSs, or the zero-bezels monochromatic design of Windows 10 such that too many windows blend into the windows behind them and are difficult to differentiate too often.
Related, I detest to this day the unfinished-look of any app that’s primarily white. Aesthetically, it looks amateurish and unfinished, like someone was untrained or did as little as they could. Functionally, many all-white apps are too often not intuitive since everything is so hidden in plain sight at times…tappable text blends in with info-text, the content too often blends in with the controls to where it adds extra time to work the app…and forget about reading a white screen on your iphone outdoors on a sunny day.
Does anyone know if Apple’s ever shared sales figures of iPad/iPhone colors for a given model run?
