Agreed. I'm not a fan of the following:

White bezels
White keyboards
Easter Egg chassis colors

:p

Really makes you wonder why Apple is abandoning black bezels on the iMac when clearly black bezels were considered as an upgrade at one time (when MBA’s were finally caught up to MBP’s which had black bezels)…it wasn’t too long ago when the silver bezel MBA’s were considered cheap and inferior-looking…

As far as the MBA white bezel guesses…if they do come to be, it would make me really wonder if Apple is force-feeding white bezels now for sake of something different to market but under the guise as a supposed premium design feature of being less “distracting” and more “blending into the background,” catering to the delusions of zero bezels being ideal in an iPad, iphone, or MacBook, or if once again an MBA with white bezels will reflect its “entry level model“ stance while the next MBP retains black bezels.

I for one consider black bezels the best at framing in your content for focus, whether it be on an iPad or Macbook. Zero bezels would be not too far from the delusional design ”improvement” of transparent app borders in windows & Mac OSs, or the zero-bezels monochromatic design of Windows 10 such that too many windows blend into the windows behind them and are difficult to differentiate too often.

Related, I detest to this day the unfinished-look of any app that’s primarily white. Aesthetically, it looks amateurish and unfinished, like someone was untrained or did as little as they could. Functionally, many all-white apps are too often not intuitive since everything is so hidden in plain sight at times…tappable text blends in with info-text, the content too often blends in with the controls to where it adds extra time to work the app…and forget about reading a white screen on your iphone outdoors on a sunny day.

Does anyone know if Apple’s ever shared sales figures of iPad/iPhone colors for a given model run?

Curious whether or not they will allow 2 external displays...
It would need to be three displays for me. If it can only handle three displays total. I'd want it to have the option of disabling the internal display when connected to three external displays.

Sounds like you could get even more back by ordering more AirPods, not that I encourage it.
Not going to work. The back to school offer is structured as a bundle of MacBook and airpod discounted by $160 with both sold at full price. If you buy more AirPods the bundle’s price still stays the same. You won’t lose any money, but there will be no extra savings.

That is much later than I was hoping for. My 2012 MBP needs replacing yesterday and I really don't feel compelled to spend the money I think they're gonna want for a 14" MBP.

Well I was going to buy a 2021 Magic Keyboard, as I'm using a 2020 MK with my 2021 iPad Pro 12.9" (not a perfect fit but works).

But I think I'll just save the cash and put it toward the next generation MacBook Air...you know the MacBook Air comes with a keyboard (I slaps my own forehead) :p

Yeah this is why I didn't wait. The M1 MacBook Air is absolutely amazing and it will definitely suffice until the new iteration comes out. I'll trade it in then.
I wish I didn't wait, I'm on a 2015 Pro but it's trash now and so laggy and slow, I don't know if it will last me another year with how garbage its behaving.

I could get the Air now and hope that the trade in value is decent in a years time maybe.

Order Mac/iPad through edu page. Change it so the Mac/iPad is shipped (enter a free gift message) and AirPods is for pickup. If you don't pick up the AirPods, you get $159 refunded after 15 days.
Nevermind, brain fart.

The only thing this product sketch gets wrong is that the next Macbook Air will be the size of the 12" Macbook (losing the "grills" alongside the keyboard) with a 13" screen.

(this is not based on any rumor or knowledge, just an educated bet on my part)

CAN NOT WAIT.

It's giving me all of the early 2000's Apple feels.

All I need now is a "throwback" iPad classic with a click wheel, bluetooth, wifi, 512GB NAND, and NO APPS. Just PURE music.
You know that in 2007 they had great black ibooks.

My M1 Air is basically perfect as far as I'm concerned. The one thing that would truly tempt me would be if it adopted something like the design of the discontinued 12" Retina MacBook. So long as it had a good keyboard, I'd be all over an Apple Silicon version of that machine.

Those were nice, but definitely lap heaters. I had mine set up to wake up early in the morning to record a radio show I wanted to hear later (thanks Audio Hijack) and in the winter my cat would park himself on the keyboard to soak up the heat.

You could also swap out the hard drive in about 90 seconds if you wanted to, which was very cool for tinkerers.
