For years apple kept feeding us the Kool-Aid that a phone with a bigger screen is a bad thing. They also mocked Microsoft surface , and galaxy note phones, only to create their own versions of them years later.

Don't believe everything Johnny tells you, he's been wrong so many times

Everyone makes mistakes here and there. That doesn’t mean the philosophy and approach are wrong.

Size and form factors change when there’s a good reason. People wanting bigger phones was a good reason. We’ll see how many iPhone 8 units get sold, so we’ll know if the same logic applies here. My guess? iPhone 8 will sell great, because it’s a great phone.

Also, that “kool-aid” phrase is REALLY getting old. There are hundreds of different ways to say that thing, and yet this one keeps repeating. You haters are really running out of ideas, aren’t you?

We were having a mature discussion, You had to troll and insult me? It's an American term, I'm not a hater I'm a 20+ year fan, since back in the day Apple wasn't hip and cool. Probably before you were born (and if you are over 20 years old, boy, they need to do something about education in Serbia )

That said, I also have a brain, and eyes, and look at competitors and don't consider Apple my religion like apparently you do.

I don't see how education in my country has anything to do with you overusing a term that has been repeated so many times here, I've lost count. My education is obviously enough to use what is not a first language for me - in a more creative way than people who use terms like "Kool-Aid" or compare rational arguments to religious fervor.

Checking out competing products and alternatives is always smart. Using shallow cliche phrases while mistaking surface features for true advancements - isn't. Neither are ad hominem attacks on people who point that out.

Yup. They were wrong on that. It happens.

They never did. You can get neither a big pen-operated phone from Apple, nor a touch-screen MacBook.

iPad Pro is a surface pro rip off, the keyboard and pen are Almost identical.

And iPhone plus line is the rival for Galaxy note line, the phablet

Actually, the phones have been fine. I've had the 4, 5, 6, and now 8, and all have been fine. But then think about how much better the iPad 2 was over iPad 1, Mini 2 over Mini 1, Air 2 over Air 1, AW 1 or 2 over Series 0 -- all big jumps in quality. If you're one of those who replaces their device EVERY year, it doesn't matter, because then you get the better one the year after. But if you stick with your devices for 2-3 years, that difference in quality can make a big difference in the user experience over that time-frame.
I understand what you're saying, but the same can be said for the iPhone 5 over the 4S, the 6 over the 5S, and the 7 over the 6S. Whenever you buy a phone with the expectation of keeping it for a few years, you know that it will only be top of line the for a short time. I upgrade every year now because I'm an Apple fanboy, but back before the 6S, I upgraded every other year and only when the new form factor came out, never the S version. The new form factor always came with bigger upgrades than the S version. But to each his own I guess, some people are more worried about tech than form factor. I just hate when people argue they only buy S versions because the new form factors always have bugs. That only happened once with the 4 antennas, and Apple fixed that very quickly (and to be honest, I never had a problem with that either).

You mean a rival for the Galaxy S8 line. Every current flagship Samsung phone is in phablet category since every screen is 5.8 inches or more. Even the newest iPhone X is only 5.8 inches so it's arch rival should be the S8 based on screen size.
