I know this might be a question asked in the wrong topic, but my ears bother me constantly when I wear my AirPods Pro. I’ve tried changing the tips and they still bother me. Is this just a problem with earbuds in general? Does it take time to get used to them? 🤔
That was my experience. Really wanted to like them but they were never comfortable. Returned them and still happy with the regular AirPods.

I don't think it will have silicone tips so I'm not sure why this image keeps being used. Most of the other leaks indicate they will not have noise cancellation, which is one of the main benefits of silicone tips. I don't care about noise cancellation and silicone tips don't stay in my ears well so I would much prefer a model without the tips. I have never bought AirPods yet so this would be the year for me to do so.

Yeah same. I like them offering a choice between tips (Pro) and no tips. If all the new gen AirPods have tips, I will be very disappointed.

Same. Unfortunately if you look at other brands, all they offer is "in-ear" models with silicone tips. So that seems to be the direction the market is headed in. I hope Apple can still have motivation to keep a model without the tips.

My AirPods Pro which I have been using practically every day since release are still in such great shape. Amazing product, most satisfied I’ve been with an Apple product so far it think. Keen to see if they will be taking steps towards more advanced features, or just refine the shape and size. Can’t see myself upgrading for anything else than wear on my current batteries though.

Same here. Curious to see what differentiates this from the existing Pros.

I would love for them to just enable some more actions on them somehow. I would love to be able to fast forward and rewind like with the wired for example.

Did you change the brand/style of tips, or just the size of the OEM tips? I could not get the APPs to stay in with any size of silicone, but aftermarket memory foam tips worked great for me.

You might also try wearing them without ANC turned on, if you haven't already. Even though it is supposed to be out of phase and "cancel" the external sounds, it can cause a sensation of pressure that is sometimes hard to pinpoint. It just hurts. I get that after real prolonged use.

I am not sure you can "get used to them" over time - I say that (as a fellow biker?) because I've worn simple foam earplugs on long rides, and after 8 hours, even the very slight foam pressure becomes excruciating. It wears on you.

I need those tip for them to stay in my ears. There's a market need for both types.
The other type is already on the market. It's more expensive, but there's your option. I am really hoping there remains a simple tip-less, but improved version.

I don't understand. What is getting an upgrade? The Airpod or Airpod pro? I thought the Airpod Pro was getting a new version

Please don’t have squeezable stems, please don’t have squeezable stems, please don’t have squeezable stems!
Just curious - why wouldn’t you want squeezable stems over touch based ones? In my experience, I find the squeezable stems noticeably more precise (tactile feedback and actual press) + the added benefit of being able to use them with gloves in the winter. :)

I agree. The regular AirPods are perfect, IMO. They almost never fall out for me (only a handful of times over two years) and I can wear them comfortable all day if needed. I find the silicone earbuds make my ears sore if I wear them more than a few hours a day.

I found a Beats Solo 3 in the garbage a few weeks ago. Ever since, I’ve become disinterested in wanting to own AirPods.

Yeah but I can't wait that long. Fourth-generation is the happy medium

I was merely trying to be funny - my opinion is that life can be short. Stuff like iphones or headphones we might use quite a bit so I lean towards buying the best tech you can - as long as it’s not straining the budget to much
