I only buy the the “Pro” version of the AirPod (Pro) so I not buying anything until it is updated and release in 2022!

Just curious - why wouldn’t you want squeezable stems over touch based ones? In my experience, I find the squeezable stems noticeably more precise (tactile feedback and actual press) + the added benefit of being able to use them with gloves in the winter. :)
Because they suck compared to the simplicity of tap? Ever try squeeze controlling while doing anything but sitting still? You end up pulling the thing out of your ear. All kinds of fun while jogging, riding a bike or anything physical. This is why I have the Pro’s for air travel, coffee shop listening etc and the Gen 2’s for literally everything else. Is this expensively redundant? You betcha. It’s also completely necessary because of the functionally useless squeeze controls.
Also: how do gloves prevent you from tapping the side of your AirPods? Sorry but I live in Idaho and Alaska, and I’ve never had whatever issue with gloves you seem to be.

Got both OG AirPods and AirPods Pro and to be honest much prefer the former as they never fall out of my ears like the Pro's at times, and as the batteries on the AirPods seem to be failing I will replace them but not the Pro's. Like others here not keen on the touch gestures either.

Looking forward to it and cannot wait. 2 more days.

Mr. Kuo: Can you do your magic and release the whole event already, please?
Apple won’t let him, they feed him controlled leaks and tell him when to leak stuff.

Why do you think apple lawyers hit all these leakers with warnings, except for gurman and Kuo, they’re both Tim Cook puppets. 😁

Conspiracy, I believe not. 😎😂

So the new Airpods will not support Spatial audio and ANC? Is it better fr me to wait till next year when they upgrade Airpod Pros?

I need airpods for my gym sessions where I run on the treadmill and do lie down on declined benches or where my head position moves a lot (eg doing cable rope crunches). Would normal airpods be ok for this, or would they not stay in the ears and would it thus be better to go for airpods Pro?

The better fit really depends on your ears. There's been mixed results.

they absolutely can't price the AirPods 3 any higher than the current price of AirPods 2, it would be insanity. already you have an APPLE PRODUCT in the Beats Studio Buds that are much smaller, fit bitter (than even AirPods Pro), have active noise reduction, transparency mode, and sound better but cost $149... I don't know how Apple is going to sell a stemmed AirPod with no active noise reduction, no transparency etc. for $199 let alone even more. I suspect the AirPods 2 at $149 (no wireless case option any longer), AirPods 3 at $199 (overpriced to the extreme based on rumored features), and AirPods Pro at $249 (dated design, overpriced, the bud version of the AirPod Pro 2 next year will be worthy of this price again.)
You are right buuut they can add health features to compensate the high price.

My prediction:

AirPods Pro - $249
AirPods (3) with Wireless Charging Case - $199
AirPods (2) with Charging Case - $129

If they drop the current one to $129, it will be a good way to capture entry-level consumers.

PowerBeats Pro - $199.95 (249.95)
Beats Studio Buds - $149.99
Beats Flex - $49.95
Beats Solo Pro - $299.95
Beats Solo3 - $199.95
Beats Pro - $399.95
AirPods Max - $549.00

They seem to have all the bases covered.

I think a good way to test the fit is using the normal corded EarPods that used to come with iPhones... the AirPods are basically identical as far as shape, except for being wireless. The lack of a cord actually makes them more stable in the ear IMHO.

Every person's anatomy is different, but I've literally run hundreds of miles and done hundreds of workouts like you're describing while wearing AirPods - with zero issues. If you can do your routines comfortably with the corded ones, you should be fine with AirPods. Good luck.

I right am patiently waiting for the AirPods Pro 2, due early in 2022. Hopefully, Apple learned from analyzing all the good in-ear headphones released this year.
