Saw no pinks, and Grees in regulae 15. And absolutely none of either Pro. At least there were regular Pros showing most of the time last yearThe non-pros, except Pink are pretty available. The Pro is 10 days or so. My wife ordered a white Pro and had it in 10 days. The Pro Maxs, that's the tough one.
I had ordered one on Friday night with a delivery of October 24-31, but I configured one today on Apple's site and one popped up in Naperville, IL at the Apple store. Ordered immediately and cancelled the online order. Black 1TB ProMax. Really lucked out.
I would check the Apple Store app randomly on the web and refresh every hour. It seems that they are slowly releasing them online and in-store when people cancel their orders or don't show up to pick them up. I've found the website to also suggest different colors or storage sizes available in the stores near you, and they seem to release them randomly (around 11 AM-12 noon, 2 PM-3 PM, and then again around 5 PM-6 PM).
That's how I was able to snag my 15 Pro Max in Natural Titanium 2 weeks after launch (I would have been able to select one sooner but I had a glitch with my carrier account which prevented me from selecting their carrier deal through Apple directly for those 2 weeks). I haven't heard of anyone being able to walk up during the day in the store to purchase a 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max as they tend to be sold out every morning (if you are first in line in the AM before the store closes they may have 1 or 2 available but that is it on a daily basis).
To be fair I would also bet that they have far less 1TB being shipped across than 256GB and 512GB. From my view, there would be a 50% allotment to 256GB, 30% allotment to 512GB, and 20% (if that, maybe 10%) allotment to 1TB for the Pro Max production. The 1TB models are way easier to find in store. Can't imagine too many people get those.
I’ve always been able to skip the pre-order and find one within a few days at the store.Confused why this would be surprising… it’s the exact same story every year without fail
I got an unlocked 128 GB 15 Pro with AppleCare+ from Costco, scheduled for delivery tomorrow. As of this posting they still have this and other models available. My 4-year-old XS got destroyed so I needed a new phone immediately, unlocked or through Spectrum Mobile. I would have preferred a 15 Pro, 128 GB, but none were available, so I got a 15 at the Raleigh, NC Apple store. If I can find a 15 Pro in the next 13 days I can return the 15 for a refund, so the hunt is on!
Where do you check?I’m kind of surprised as by this time last year I was able to find the 14 pro max I wanted in store. Checked again a little while ago and there’s not one 15 pro of any size, color, or storage available pretty much anywhere.
In the Seattle area?Regular iPhone is not an issue at all, except for Pink. There are 0 Pro Maxes, especially in 256, White or Nat Tit. Every day 1-2 appear very sporadically in 10 stores in the area and gone in under a minute.
No, Greater Toronto Area. Like 100 mile radius. Maxes are basically impossible to get. The ones that appear - are gone within minutes, if not seconds. In the Seattle area?
Chicago here as well. Check both the app and website between 10 AM and noon. Last Friday I secured a Nat Ti 15PM 256 at Old Orchard and picked up this past Monday. When “in stock” shows up they vanish in seconds, need to be quick.Yea this year is definitely worse than last year but last year I remember China had their COVID Lockdown like near end of October or something like that and November and December were hard to find too. Only Blue Titanium PM 1 tb showed up on Michigan ave and also in Lincoln Park Apple store for today and that's about it. Stock is dry. I have some gut instinct that Stores may get some more tomorrow. We'll see.
I have inventory watch on my mac, basically only 2 apple stores in Illinois got only the 1 tb blue ti pro max in stock. Hopefully more will come tomorrow. Not that I need one as I have the Blue ti 1 tb pro max, i'm just trying to help a friend out.Chicago here as well. Check both the app and website between 10 AM and noon. The app showed nothing but the website showed in stock at Old Orchard when I did it. That’s why if possible look at both at the same time.
Literally RIGHT after I posted this - I snagged one online 5 miles away - Wild. 15 Pro Max NT 256gb.No, Greater Toronto Area. Like 100 mile radius. Maxes are basically impossible to get. The ones that appear - are gone within minutes, if not seconds.
Same here but no pro maxes in this area.As of 10:30 AM central time, 15 Pros are popping up in stores in my area.
