That Looks more adequate for the price, although you should have a look at the apple website. They have refurbished macbooks that sell just as low as this one but they come from apple and they've been inspected!

You're looking at the Toronto classifieds, yet its coming from England. Yes, it's too good to be true. These scammers are all over the place. They say once you send them a money order, they'll express post it over to you for free. Then you wait, wait, wait and wait, and never get your item.

That's a bit expensive for the outdated version. Why not get it new from the Apple Store? With the student discount its $1049 + sell the free iPod touch for about $225, driving the cost down to just $824.

All depends on how important mobility is to you. Are you a college student and need it for classes, etc.

I'd go for a MBP.

You kinda contradicted yourself there. If he wants portability, MacBook is a better option than the MacBook Pro.

Does anyone know how good the extended warranties are? My friends all have dell laptops and if they scratch their screens, their cases, damage their keyboards, screw up their touchpad or any of that dell fixes it for free...
