ahh... I see now. But I really wasn't trying to be hurtful or anything.So..

No worries, no one is saying you were - it's just a case where the facts speak for themselves and we found the situation itself amusing. No need to be paranoid my friend, it's all good. :)

Thats why they want the casino opened tonight.

According to what I've read on the websites of the two Las Vegas papers, the Monte Carlo may not re-open until all the debris is removed--that could be as early March 2008 for the re-opening. MGM Mirage may be talking about a major economic loss because of the closure of this casino resort for that long.

I saw the funniest thing while watching this event on tv. This blaze actually interrupted a wedding. People were running out in wedding dresses and tuxs. WOW. Thats not a good sign. :D

Not exactly funny, but yes, since no one was harmed we can ask the question, "Were these two meant to be married?" Talk about a sign... :p ;) :D

But the casino may open in 2 weeks but not the hotel

I thought it was just facial damage, can't they be open and fix the facade.

MASHANTUCKET, Conn. -- A rooftop fire has forced the evacuation of a hotel at Foxwoods Resort Casino.
A Spokesman for the Mashantucket Pequot Indians, who run the complex of hotels and gambling casinos, said the Great Cedar Hotel was evacuated Tuesday as a precaution.
The Great Cedar Casino and area retail shops were also evacuated.

The fire broke out around noon on the roof above the VIP lounge on the eighth floor of the hotel.
Officials said the fire is caught in the roof and that they will be ripping apart the roof.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
many of the hotel's guests and gamblers were spending the night at a nearby hotel -- without their luggage and belongings.

Firefighters were still assessing the damage late into the night. Firefighters were using a crane to peel back part of the roof, and using infrared cameras to look for hot spots, now that the smoke has cleared.
Tribe officials said they were starting to get a good look at the damage Tuesday night.
The hotel and casino were closed Tuesday night,
