I felt that way about my 17" PowerBook that I got in December 2009.
Two logicboards later, a fistful of DC-In boards, sound board, sound cable, LCVD cable, new display, splicing speaker cables, a new DVD drive and a lot of missing screws I came to the conclusion that I no longer had my original Mac I bought in 2009.
The final nail in the coffin was when I divided parts on the Mac by putting the LCD in a working Mac I'd bought for parts that had a bent bottom pan and wouldn't close.
At that point I had to put it up on
Let Go (not really, I sent it to
@Gamer9430).

But I did have to let it go!
Now my intent is when that the next A1013 dies, it will simply be replaced.
Note, not trying to discourage, just relating an anecdote of my experience. You go after parts because you want to get it working only to later realize it's not the actual Mac you bought when you're done and it chimes.
