Dear Experts!

I have a MacBook Pro 13" Late 2013 with 512SSD. Recently, I have got a MacBook Pro 13" Early 2015 with 256SSD.

I want to upgrade the "256SSD" of my new Early 2015 with the previous 512SSD i have from Late 2013 ".

Here's the SSD i have, Early 2013 512SSD, S/N: MZ-JPU512T/0A6

I saw the SSDs have similar pins, also i googled about it then some pages said they are compatible, and some said they are not due to some PCIx2.0 or PCIx3.0 version. I could have just tested them, but i don't want to damage anything. So i need an expert opinion before i do so.

Can i do this upgrade ?? I would appreciate any help on this.

Thank you in advance.

They are the same interface and both drives will work on both machines. Only difference will be the read and write speeds. 2015 speeds will be double of the 2013. I have swapped drives between 2013 and 2015 models many times without any problems.
