I've had my Late 2015 27" Retina 5K iMac since December of 2015. I've recently noticed that all four edges of the screen have a slight purple tint. It's more noticeable when I move a white background over it to show the contrast. The gradient is about <0.5 inches in width. Has anyone noticed this in their displays? I had AppleCare on this machine and of course, it just ended in December 2018.

How did you solve this problem? I have the same

I haven't found anyone else with the same issue yet. I'm just living with it. It's not too noticeable during normal use as I don't stare at the edge of my screen often. Hopefully, it doesn't spread to the center.

Have two iMac (5K Retina, 27-inch, Late 2015) machines at work. I'm using one of them. Both have this issue. Unsure how widespread this is. I actually got to this thread to see how widespread this is. I'm about to be saving up for an iMac (5K Retina, 27-inch, 2020) before its inevitable Apple Silicon replacement comes out and I'm hoping to not have this issue on that one; though I will certainly be buying (and eventually renewing) AppleCare+ on it.
