I have to imagine a few high-ranking folks in Cupertino are super pissed about all this information flowing so freely.

Most likely not.

The product has been shown and released. Consumers don't really care about these deep diving into coding things and will judge by performance.

Lastly not every potential customer reads MR or these type of blogs.

All in all these "reveals" will not impact sales.

Personally hoping it's great. Would be the first time in a long time that I would buy a first gen Apple product.
By the time they are widely available we may have read all about bugs and gotten corrections etc.

Ah, okay, I didn't realise it was a public release and not a developer release. I presume it has now been taken offline?

I love the emphasis on sounds with bass. The HomePod can produce beautiful bass so it’s nice to have it used throughout the audio UI. I might be using a male Siri because of that.

I look forward to actually testing the HomePod once I receive it, but more than that, I look forward to testing the new Siri capabilities. Half of what the HomePod will be will be based on Siri functionalities. I think Apple is working very hard to have Siri ready and I feel the results will be very promising. At least I have a positive outlook on Siri.

Siri has made fantastic strides but it’s been so gradual that all the complainers have taken it for granted.

I’ve been testing iOS 11 and I’m getting used to having more natural conversations with Siri. An always listening device like HomePod has huge potential in this arena. If rather than requiring a Hey Siri for every input, it could continue listening and understand that you’re still talking to it, that would huge. It would only require advanced context understanding which is not unreasonable at this stage.

That's maybe true for the speaker, but remember that this same code has also revealed a lot of information about the next iPhone

Agreed, but then again, how many consumers of the 50 million iPhones read these types of info in such detail and are
following blogs. If their contracts are up they get whatever is new at that time.

And, it's not a secret that there will be another iPhone version.

I am sure it will have Apple excited and be magical , full of courage, maybe leaving off the display screen:)
