They need to add a Scottish Voice as Siri still has trouble understanding me. It kinda icks me that they say British accent. No such thing as a British accent. Its an English accent that they use for a "British" Accent.

I am madly passionately in love with the Australian female voice. I almost hit the floor when a real life aussie female talked to me there. OMG!!! And I do not know why. British leaves me kind of cold, but Australian? *GRRRRR* ???????

I wonder what it takes to code/program a new voice? Like is it intensive or is it something that can be easily implemented through code? The reason I ask, is it’s not that often they add a new voice.

Most likely it's just sliding some dials around, change pitch, velocity, cadence, etc. Changing the base voice, how realistic it is, is harder.

Disney doesn't own any voices. Those belong to the actual actors.

Is the voice on car play different than the voice on the phone? On my 2nd car with it. The first one by the same manufacturer it sounded like my phone. The one on my new one sounds like a robot. Trying to figure out why

I like the concept of a non-binary voice, but this voice sounds so harsh.

It is a bit more bright-sounding than the other voices in terms of tone. It might work well in situations where you need to hear the voice cut through a little better, like in noisy train stations, factories and so on.

I wish someone would add a Welsh voice to Siri/Alexa/Cortana/Google's Assistant. I just love the Welsh accent.

In iOS 15.4, Apple has introduced a fifth "American" Siri voice, which can be selected from the Settings app by going to Siri & Search and then selecting Siri Voice. The new voice is the fifth option, which joins the original four American Siri voices.

The "American" voice is the only new voice that was added today for users in the United States, and there appear to have been no other updates to Siri's voice options.

Those running the latest iOS 15.4 developer beta can listen to the new voice, which is distinct from prior voice selections.
