Stupid people. Why rate neagative?![]()
Because this forum is filled with idiots who randomly click on things.
Because some people might be worried with the consequences on your privacy! I think it will be cool app but must have some security! For example: you take a picture and upload it to the internet. Everyone knows where you are if the tag is on the foto, even if hidden! That's why some people rate it as negative! Or they just don't like it! Not because they're stupid!
That Sea Dragon stuff is cool!
Zoomable user interfaces, thousands of peoples photos "seemed" together making practically 3d image, is badass. In the future, I can imagine an almost virtual walkthrough of any popular place in the world, through the use of other peoples photos.
Cell phone cameras can only help this to become reality.
So Im outside my house taking photos of my street that eventually lead into my house. Will people goe-zoom into my living room to see my friends drinking beer?
I smell a fake.
Either Apple is ignoring their own UI guidelines or is just falling off... but I have never seen "OK" in an Apple dialog box. Apple recommends an active verb to initiate the actionin this case, "Use" would probably be used instead of "OK".
Second, that dialog box is unnecessary. Apple would either set it for you automatically with a preference or not. Apple has also never referred to its applications directly either. If you've just taken a picture, it's pretty obvious it's from the Camera application. It would probably be better phrased such as "Use your current location with this photo?" with "Don't Use" or "Use".
It has nothing to do with Google -- I can't imagine this or any phone uploading your photos to any service without your consent. This is just another way for you to organize your photos. Imagine -- you're looking to buy a house and you go to a bunch of open houses in one day, and take pictures of features you really like. And then you get home and can't remember which photo goes with which house -- with geo-tagging, you can easily place each photo on the map so you'll know where you were when you took it.What does it do for the USER besides take our photos and info and give them to Google to build Google Earths database of mapping or whatever company or app the info is going to????? If that's all it is then I'm really NOT interested in participating.

It's not life-altering, but it's a nice piece of functionality to have.
Yep! Get ready! Big Brother/Employer watching you!![]()
