oh, here is the one from technobuffalo, I couldn't post it before because I was on an ipad.

The front of the device looks horrid with a 4" screen. Especially with the iPhone 4 design. If they're going to do a 4" screen, I'm sure it's going to be with a new design.

I think the second mockup actually looks pretty cool. I think the 4" screen looks pretty good. The phone does look awkwardly thin though
 
don't want an iphone that looks like an ipod touch with a cheap bodykit slapped on it.

ugly, looks like excrement.
 
First design is horrible. I hate HATE the 3G design ect. The 2nd pic is alright.


Hopefully they release a 5 with the same design, maybe bigger for a 4in screen.
 
I really hope Apple doesnt go the iPad 2 style route with the next iPhone. I love my iPad 2 but sometimes the sharper edges annoy me.
 
That thing looks more like an iPad2 if anything, with the rounded edges/bevel and flat back.

Or at least that's was the artist was looking to mock-up, I think.
 
looks great on white! but i prefer the iPhone 4's glass design, it's so classy, looks like james bond's phone. :D
 
Playing around with a mockup in AutoCAD, will post up the rendered results later.

iPhone killed?

Any truth to the rumor that the iPhone 5 was not going to make the summer release?
 
I don't really care for either mock up.

I would rather keep the same form factor with a minor bump in specs than have a total design change to accommodate a larger screen. And I really like the flat back, I don't want to give that up just yet.

IF they go with a larger screen or some other fancy new wow-factor, I really hope the general design stays mostly the same.

Can't wait for the proliferation of "My iPhone 4 dock/case does not fit my iPhone 5?!?!?!?!?!" threads.

maybe the verizon iphone is the iphone 5? maybe with new chip and os.

The first rumor was that it is not coming until the end of the year. However, the article ment the end of Apple's fiscal year which is in September. I think any chance of it not going to make at least a summer release was squashed when Engadget clarified. Its either coming during WWDC like normal or late summer/early fall.
