Notch, 60 Hz, probably 128 GB. Let's see how many more years Apple is gonna get away with this.

Edit: I'll exclude the US from this since people seem to be obsessed with the whole blue bubble thing apparently and since Apple is a local brand.
It’s a budget phone what exactly are they getting away with? Consumers decide what is and isn’t important to them I don’t know if you know this but everyone doesn’t share your needs and opinions.

So now we're back to the notch...

The iPhone line-up is going to be so confusing...

iPhone 16: latest screen design, latest buttons, dual cameras, A18/8GB, AI, $799
iPhone 15: latest screen design, older buttons, dual cameras, A16/6GB, no AI, $699
iPhone 14: older screen design, older buttons, dual cameras, A15/6GB, no AI, $599
iPhone SE: older screen design, older buttons, single camera, A17Pro/8GB, AI, $499

I still think the SE will replace the iPhone 14 in the line-up at $599
The Se has always used an older design. This will be the first model without a home button

Oh I only use 40 GB on my iPhone 16 Pro. I see it more like a "principal" thing with competitors starting at 256 GB now. Even on my MBP I use less than 100 GB. Everything is in the cloud.

I am just curious if at some point people will be like "why is Apple half of everything yet like double the price". Obviously it hasn't happened yet so I do wonder if Apple will ever follow Nokia, Blueberry, Windows phone
Apple outsells all those devices why would they decide to follow them?

I assume the point was that all of these devices became obsolete at one point or another because there was a more compelling offer available.

The back of this thing with the single camera gives off big iPod touch 5th-7th gen vibes.

« Suggestions that the iPhone SE 4 could get an Action Button or Camera Control button also appear off the mark, based on these mockups »

But we can actually see a action button on this dummy device.

Would it have killed them to make a smaller version of this also?

I used to be all in on small phones, but they just don't seem to sell particularly well.

I expect a significant chunk of the price-conscious crowd plus enterprise customers don't necessarily care about a smaller form factor and investing additional resources to make multiple versions of a budget device just isn't worth it.

Like it or not, 6-6.1" is a good balance for a lot of people that's big enough for internet, media, relatively comfortable typing and yet still compact enough to fit in most pockets.
