Sorry if I'm not in the loop, but when is Apple expected to announce this? When do they usually announce a new iPhone?
Usually in June, but they didn't and the rumour is either the end of this month, September, or October. Most believe it'll be in September (early to mid September).

OP: All the images show the front which proves nothing. The only thing I get out of these images is that the cases will have a different camera opening in the back. Get some side shots of the case.
None of us are "in the loop", and everyone will tell you a different time frame of when Apple is "expected" to announce the new iPhone.
It's very possible, but all rumors point to a September iPhone announcement too. iPod rumors have been scarce this year, except for some white part findings.

It's expected that they announce it at the same time. I guess they're putting all product cycles of iDevices into one refresh every year at the same time? Except maybe iPad?
I know what "in the loop" means and my point still stands, none of us know.
Everyone is guess and hoping for an announcement sometime in Sept-early October, but all Apple has said was that iOS 5 will be released this Fall (Sept 23rd-Dec 21st). For all we know the announcement could me made early October with a release at the end of the month, this will still be within their Fall time frame.
Apple never gave a specific date and every rumor I read seems to be baseless and just re-hashing what someone had said prior.
It makes sense to reales iPhones and iPods the same time, seeming as there was no surprise with the iPod touch because it would always be the newest iPhone without being a phone, with the iPad there is some surprise.
Man, that 4" screen is seeming more and more probable!
Still, though, that looks to be a rocker switch moulding on the one side. Would apple go back to that? I think these may be knock off cases.
