If it doesn't interest you, don't bother.

Maybe it wouldn't be so necessary if iOS wasn't so slow at navigating around. I always wish the speed/responsiveness would return, but I'm starting to think it's not coming back.

You saw through my sarcasm? Damn, thought I was in the clear.

Tried the free version thinking "meh, it can't be that helpful," but it's really a nice utility.

You can set it to run specific workflows from the Workflow app! Not just launch the app! That's what sealed the deal for me.

For example?

I hope iOS 9 introduces a Dashboard. These widgets make absolutely no sense in the Notifications pull down. Dashboard would be great to the left of the first Home screen (where Search used to be).
So, you don't want access to them from anywhere? Instead only from one certain home screen? Isn't that...a home screen? (which we already have)

Got it, the free version is sweet!

Seems a bit stupid in trying to figure out my contact info, but other than that working nicely. Save me a few steps -- especially on somethings I used to be able to in less steps before iOS 8 , now one step. nice.

'Launcher' Returns to the App Store After Apple Relaxes Policies

What's the custom URL to get to the Keyboard app in settings? I had it before I updated the app but I had to delete it to update it so I have to do it over but I don't remember what it was. Anyone know what it is?

OK I got the Pro app from Cromulent, right?. How do you do shortcuts?

If you tap the Add New button and choose "App Launcher", many of the apps have sub-menus for you to choose specific actions within that app. For example:

Mail >
-Open App
-Compose an email
-Email Someone > Recipient Email, Subject, Body (and it would pre-fill whatever you specify here)

Maps >
-Open App
-Get Directions > Go to (Start Address) (Destination Address)
-Search Maps

That way you can skip all the manual input of these day-to-day tasks.

For example?

I have a workflow that automatically generates a text message with specific wording that send daily. I saved that specific workflow to NC so that instead of finding workflow app, opening the app, searching for that specific workflow (I've made many), and launching it, I can just tap the icon in notification center and the text message is automatically generated. All I have to do is tap "send."

Though I haven't played around yet. You can create workflows that take content from your clipboard and start running from NC. For example, if I made a workflow that generates an email with the text I've copied to the clipboard, I could save that workflow to NC to make the processes easier. One tap of the icon in NC and the email will automatically be generated.

These things don't save you hours of effort, but that are efficient little shortcuts.

Because I didn't know these limitations exist. The iPhone 6 is the first iPhone I've ever had and I recently bought a Mac Mini too. I'm learning a lot and many of the posts in this thread sound odd to me.

I wasn't talking about why Apple removed the app and reinstated it. I'm asking why some people are saying Apple should have kept its course.
I don't understand their thought process even in the face of this news.

Except its now reversed so that stuff is now not against terms.
Why are some people arguing that the renter still be kicked out or that the agreement shouldn't have been changed?
I guess in the same vein it's somewhat odd to come into a smartphone platform/ecosystem without looking into it first and finding out some of at least the main things about it--how Apple treats iOS and the various limitations that are imposed on it generally being one of the more important and prominent things that comes up pretty much in the beginning of someone looking into iOS.

Two parts:

Text: Enter message content
Send Message: contact name.

It doesn't seem like this would be much different than just putting all your favorite apps on the first home screen. It still would require the user to exit whatever app they're currently in to access this Dashboard screen. The benefit of Launcher using the Notification pane is that you can access this pane from anywhere, including while using a different app. I do agree that the Notification pane isn't the most logical place for app shortcuts, but that's the best extension point that iOS currently provides for that. I think it would make most sense if Apple allowed these shortcuts to be in the Control Center pane, the one you swipe up from the bottom, since that already has shortcuts to a few builtin apps. Apple should just make that configurable and allow more than 4 shortcuts there, maybe by allowing you to scroll the shortcuts horizontally.

EDIT: Oops, just realized lots of people have already posted essentially the same response.

It's slow to respond, at least compared with what it used to be before iOS 7.

You can press buttons and tap/swipe without it responding at all if it isn't perfectly ready. As a result, you have to limit how quickly you try to navigate else it'll miss inputs.

7.0 was brutal for it, 7.1 brought about half the speed difference back. Still, miss the good old days when it could just keep up.

Are you on older hardware? I have iOS 8 on the iPhone 5 and it seems to keep up. I wish you can scroll through things faster, but Apple likes to control the speed of scrolling to prevent any hiccups.

Thank you very much. I appreciate it!

iPhone 6. Also used other iOS devices lots to know it's the software.

It has to do with the way animations interrupt input, rather than the other way around. 7.0 was brutal because the keyboard would pop up, you'd start typing, and it'd only start registering by the 5th letter.

Anyone getting poor battery life since installing this? My battery seems to be draining quickly since installing this morning.

Not to be sarcastic...but I'm glad for you that you're happy for the developer making money. I usually don't get all that excited over developers....especially ones that make apps with sneaky In-App purchases. Furthermore it's near impossible to even communicate with some developers. They take your money and don't offer any verbal support.

What are you talking about? There is neither of these things with this app. The dev has been VERY responsive. You seem bitter.

----------

Maybe I don't get it, but I don't see the point of this app.

You serious clark?

It's definitely not for you then.

I didn't fly blind into iOS. Its hard, after all, to stay ignorant about the things Apple does. But, again, I'm not talking about what Apple's doing.
I'm talking about its defenders. What are THEY thinking? Apple reversed the call, yet these people are saying they shouldn't. What's up with that?

Hahaha. I agree. I am enjoying the enthusiasm people have for this app. I even saw it on the top of the App Store trending keywords, made me smile.
