I didn't fly blind into iOS. Its hard, after all, to stay ignorant about the things Apple does. But, again, I'm not talking about what Apple's doing.
I'm talking about its defenders. What are THEY thinking? Apple reversed the call, yet these people are saying they shouldn't. What's up with that?
Not quite sure about those who are saying they shouldn't...I don't really think I've seen more than perhaps one post to that effect though. The reasoning there is that they would prefer if widgets stay true to their original purpose, which is more informational in nature than anything else, and don't end up becoming mini apps. That said, since it's in the hands of the users as to what they want to use there or not, it's not really an issue since those who don't want to can simply not use widgets of that type.

I don't want to have to unlock my device all the time. It makes sense for some things.

My thoughts exactly. I love this app, I bought it so I can make use a bit more icons. The great thing about this app is that I now can quickly launch specific task like sms my girlfriend or call check out my data status provided with my mobile contract or even go directly to wifi list when I'm at someone's home and like to gain acces to his or her wifi channel for the first time...

Where in the past I bought more and more apps "thinking" they would be useful, which some of them where until certain point, I now starting to realize that I'm only using a few apps and a few specific task each day and only occasionally some other app from the hundreds I've bought so far....

With iPhone 6 which locks itself after 2 minutes for security reason I can always acces these tasks or apps and with holding down my finger on the touch ID sensor I gain quickly access as well.

Working experience with this app multiplied. Notifications is now not only a bit handy for quickly acces information about weather or the news and such but has turned into a real working method on how I'm using my iPhone smartphone.

It's worth any eurocent, or dollarcent for many others here.....

It's like Apple doesn't think they have enough bad "Evil App Store Restrictions" news stories floating around, so they put onerous restrictions on things just to overturn them months (or even just days) later. They really need to get their crap together with their policy and management of these people who review the apps so that things are applied consistently and evenly across the developers on the store.

Anyone knows the keyboard URL in settings ? So I can make it a shortcut

When adding a new shortcut, choose App launcher > Settings, and there should be a submenu option for keyboard.

Upgraded to Pro on Launcher and Music. I always support the devs.

The dev responded to my initial question positively and within 24hrs--:)

I don't understand why every app wouldn't be launch-able.

Email dev on app you want

or

like I did for the new Google Calendar

typed

googlecalendar:// in URL block when adding app

Thanks to member Trahearne for the tip--:)

We waste days browsing Facebook and the like but, my God, we need a quick access point to call or email somebody. Phew.

You don't have to download it.

----------

I'll happily explain it to you. If you rent a room in your house to an outsider and as time passes your renter is doing stuff against the terms of the living arrangement in YOUR HOME, you have the right to kick them out.

----------

He may have gotten a boost in "downloads" but not sales. The app is free....with In-App purchases.

How on earth can you equate what someone does with a phone they purchased and own, to the way a renter treats a house that they don't own? Worst analogy ever.

How about you buy a house and its property but still have to get a permit from the city in order to add something or change certain things about the house.

That's so you don't install faulty wiring and burn down the neighborhood, or do something that negatively impacts your neighbors. I can see some parallels, but still quite different from using your phone the way you want.

Just like using the phone the way you want same goes for using the house the way you want whatever the reasoning might be, and many times it has nothing to do with anything practical and just a simple decision by the city that they don't want something to be higher than a certain height or something similar just because in their opinion it would be unsightly and nothing more than that.

Apple wants its ecosystem to be a certain way just like the city wants to maintain certain rules they wish to have. I certainly get and support the desire to be able to do whatever, but that isn't the system we are buying into when we decide to go with iOS, just as its not when someone decides to buy a house within the city with paricular limitations or perhaps even a community with an HOA and certain established rules (no matter how pointless those rules might be).

This app is terrible. Since installing yesterday it has used 31% of my battery usage?? I've never clicked an app through it yet either.

Anyone else notice this? It dies this morning after the first beep of the alarm. Thank goodness I made it to work on time still.

----------

Anyone getting poor battery life since installing this? My battery seems to be draining quickly since installing this morning.

Yes, I am. My phone was 30% when I went to bed, 0% 6 hours later. It is using 31% of my battery usage since installation.

Never know. But don't see another option atm. What's your battery usage say for other apps.

I have been using app on and off and current usage is 2%

So just to be clear, the car maker should prohibit that for those who want it?

A better analogy would be a cars shop junkie modified his car to work as a refrigerator, then complains that the dealership won't sell the fridge car on their lot.

Is there a way to access the home screen from the launcher widget?
Tia
Rochelle
Wouldn't pressing the home button once or twice do the trick? Or this basically to avoid using the button for some reason?

If you are concerned of high battery usage, go into settings and disable background app refresh and cellular data for the app.

Just out of curiosity why would I need this app to refresh in the background or cellular data? All the app does is creates a widget based upon the apps I add to it.
