Hooking up the MBP to the LED ACD is not a pain at all not much to connect really, it's the USB hubs, printer, external HDD and iPhone/iPod that gets annoying. However if you plan on connecting your MBP to a TV and to watch movies off of it through PLEX or Boxee, I would definitely recommend getting a desktop mac (mac mini is perfect). I could not imagine transferring the my MBP from external monitor to TV all the time with all the cables.

But the LED ACD has three USB ports, right? so those things could stay attached to the ACD. You'd just have to hook up the MBP. That's what I was thinking, anyway.

Rather than start a new thread I used search and found this one, anyone know of any newer monitors in the apple imac like style that might match up nicely with my new 27 inch imac?

Like to stay under $600 and get something that matches the 27 inch screen size and design wise.

I liked the cinemaview linked earlier, if they made a 27 I would probably jump on that one...

If you are looking for a similiar design, well then your are SOL, you can only go with apple for the 27" ACD.

If you are looking for similar quality, then there are tons of screens! Just google IPS monitor or put it in CNET and check them out, same panels used in iMacs, ACD, etc.
