Apple’s innovation team is firing on all cylinders with a dual SIM card tray. Meanwhile the rest of its competitors had this years prior. Scratch that this is magical, two SIMs. /s
Like the rest of the non-iOS world get caught with their pants down with Touch ID and 64 bit on the 5s. That was actually pretty magical.:D

Posters who were parroting that brown/Zune troll are being made a fool.

I wish MR allowed more entries on the ignore list, it hasn’t scaled with the number of troll accounts.

Or the iOS world being caught with their skirt down when a lack of AMOLED, larger screen, Qi, etc for year. Apple has not refined the Qi standard. I will give credit where it is due to them on the chinless AMOLED/LCD screen.

Just calling it as it is. I use both iOS and Android, its meaningless for me to take sides. Each has it’s pros and cons, I just don’t like when one camp is placed on a pedestal, seems childish.

Seems like a lack of OLED and wireless charging didn’t hurt Apple profitability one bit.

As you call it like you see it so do I. I don’t like it, when one camp is “bashed needlessly”. Fair comments are there for the taking.

Apple could have omitted AMOLED, it would still sell. Qi included, the question is why does Phil bash Qi, AMOLED and then eventually include it. I can see the argument for improving AMOLED, however Apple made no improvements to Qi, heck there are using the prior slower charging speed. What gives Apple?

Apple didn't include oled for a few generations and now has the XR, which I'm guessing will sell like blockbusters.

When did Phil bash it? Other than maybe to bash the state of it. Airpower is Qi++ and the oled screen on the iphone x wasn't standard Samsung part number.

Airpower is some improvements to Qi. Apple hasn't commented on how many watts the Xs can handle while charging wirelessly.

AirPower = MIA (presently after a year announcement)

Phil bashed Qi by saying it was too slow, etc. Yet the Qi standard their include is the slow standard vice the faster Qi version.

Who cares what AirPower is based on, it is once again MIA. What are you an Apple employee to defend vapourware? Pathetic on your part. What improvements has Apple made to the Qi standards, please advise.

AMOLED was custom to curve the components that power the display, am I missing anything.

Xr may sell well due to the cost of entry. If the Xs cost less than the Xr, guess which one would sell well AMOLED or LCD, price is important to many.

Your comments alone are indicative of your stance of being an Apple fanboy. Before you comment otherwise, I own both iOS and AndroidOS devices. Care to try again.

How do you know what standard the Qi hardware is? This is not listed on their website. When did Phil "bash" it. Got a link?

Airpower will be announced and some people do care about it. Are you employed with Apple to know the status of Airpower? Pretty "pathetic" on your part, to say the least. Improvements to the state of wireless charging can be seen on the internet with respect to what airpower is supposed to do. Don't need to advise.

Apple didn't include oled for reasons of it's own, nobody knows what that rational is.

Price is important, and that is why car manufacturers have a range of options that add to cost. We agree some people shop on price, but others shop on the value it means to them personally even though the price goes up with respect to these options.

If my comments are indicative of a "fanboy", what does that make your comments?;) Owning both products does not make one any more qualified to give an opinion than anyone else. Capisce?

So cute, you quoted a Phil Schiller in 2012, only 6 years ago.:p I'm sure you will counter with Apple said that publicly and they must uphold the opinions of mgmt, no matter what. People are still bringing up that Steve Jobs said, "no stylus", and here we are with the apple pencil. Tim Cook has said it's okay that Apple can learn and reverse course on certain decisions. A statement like that shows the management team is willing to use opportunities to learn.

As far as Airpower, they didn't announce it, but they have shown how it works in various videos. Although it is possible, Apple pulled Airpower, but I guarantee they are releasing something along those lines. You are right about one thing, value is subject and price is quantitative. However, you purchase elective products at a specific price point based on a subjective internal system scorecard.

I'm not sure why you are struggling with such cognitive dissonance, you your comments are very short sighted in my opinion.

A standard response that Phil could have used was, at Apple we explore various technologies and we do not comment on future products”. Tim Cook uses something along these lines during quarterly financial reports. However your cookie cutter rebuttal was predictable.

Any company or person can provide promotional videos and mock display models. The proof is in the pudding, does it work and if so why no release. There is no shame in Apple disclosing that we are still ironing out a few bugs for a an excellent user experience. However complete removal of the product is rather telling that all this was a premature announcement for vapourware. “You guarantee they are releasing something along those line”. So through your own admission Apple may not have a working product according to their announcement a year prior, and you are trying to save face by saying something to the contrary. Are you Tim Cook to defend Apple. I wonder if you would defend any other company or product with such enthusiasm. I suspect not.

I struggle with the notion that you have something to gain for not admitting or seeing something for what it truly is. I get it, I commend Apple or any other company for the tech their create, acquire or refine. However I am not blinded to their faults and missteps. The big question is what vested interest you have to defend Apple’s missteps.

With every link I provide, you go into some form of damage control. It is clear that you have some jaded view of Apple. Through your own admission once again you mention that Steve Jobs, Phil Schiller, Tim Cook say things, only later to release product or features to the contrary. This in itself is the definition of being wrong and claiming otherwise is ones delusion of being self righteousness. The neutral response any of these characters can provide is the one I provided in my initial paragraph.

Response was predictable as I predicted.;) Apple is under no obligation to comment on products. Your opinion, as my opinion on this are both ok. No right or wrong here. And it seems you are the one "trying to save face", and in the process casting Apple in a negative light. All good.

And I don't have to defend other companies doing the same thing, as others have aptly stepped up to the plate. ;)

I struggle with the notion of what you have to gain by just not admitting Apple is under any obligation to disclose their plans. As you I am not blinded by their mistakes only to categorize them properly, instead of the hyperbole that ensues.

What you do not seem to realize is apple in 2012 is not apple in 2018 and you hold them "accountable" for the Steve Jobs era. He's gone, and it's now Tim Cook's company. Tim is under no obligation to provide you with their plans, and it is not I who has the jaded view of Apple. Through your own admission by that link, you still seem to be thinking this is Apple of 2012. Not the case and some have to move on with the times.
