I am a really positive person. Since I am on an S cycle and do not always need the latest I can outwait Apple.

HOWEVER, when one reads what the GALAXY 7 has to offer, embarrassment for Apple comes to mind.
One can poopoo the OS, but that will catch up pretty fast, but all the other stuff from wireless charging etc., makes Apple looks sooooo far behind.

Their ears must be ringing by now, even with their wireless beats headphones on.

Sorry Apple, you have to do better than what we know so far about the 7, especially the Galaxy 7.

I would relax and not worry about Apple. The 6s was record setting, a couple hundred million people have bought it. Now, if the rumors are correct, they've taken that record setter and doubled the base memory, double the max memory, faster processor, great new low light camera, optical image stabilization, much stronger glass, True Tone/HDR color resolution, bigger battery with a couple more hours capacity, duo camera system, waterproof, faster charging, improved speakers, more color choice, etc., all with a new operating system, plus whatever else Apple is including that we don't know about, and you are embarrassed for Apple? What exactly were you expecting?

I wonder if it’s a feature or performance reason for the switch or more of a cost of production reason. They're used Qualcomm for quite a long time haven't they?
Intel has poured massive amounts of money into developing their own modems, my guess is they've either used their scale to drive prices lower, have tailored power constraints to exactly what Apple is looking for, or they are offering quite a discount to pick up hundreds of millions in guaranteed revenue via apple.

Spoken like a true fanboy. How are you convincing yourself to buy one this time?

I'm going to buy one because I want a new phone. Why would I need to convince myself?

If you buy your phones based on looks alone, that's your choice, but don't disparage others because they want something you don't,

I've been buying an iPhone every year, but last time out I stuck it out with the 6 Plus to get my money's worth and then get the 7. From the leaks, there is no doubt that form factor will remain the same and the 7 Plus will be the same size as the 6/6S Plus, which is to say is big and heavy compared to recent phones like the Note 7. I'll wait for the keynote but if it's more or less the same as what the leaks suggest, then I'll get a Note 7 and hope next year's iPhone is worth the switch.

Not a Ben Franklin quote. The quote is from Dale Carnegie "How to Win Friends and Influence People".

When you google it you will see it attributed to Benjamin Franklin.

Dale carnegie quoted it in that book amongst other quotes he liked.

I don't really care whose it is, but I like it a lot, because it is so true.
And, I include myself in those fools.

With the note 7 beware of scratchgate.
