yep, mine is comin' between 8:00 and 12:00 GMT+1 :)
So there has to be a way of activation at home
 
mine comes between 5pm and 10pm cuz i thought i had school and wouldnt be home in time which turns out to be wrong aaaaah :eek:

Okay then, that is news to me, and as far as I can tell on Apple's website, you cannot pre-order it (in the US).

Yeah well I'll call in sick that day...tests are over anyway :D

/edit:
We can preorder it from T-Mobile (Germany), so we "signed" our contract already online. Left creditcard numbers and bank account for the monthly fees.
 
This is just ridiculous. LEAKED MEMO? You've got to be kidding me.

Its two weeks from the frigging launch AT&T!!!!!!!!!! Where the hell is all of the info the CUSTOMERS need to know?



All I know is, if the retards in the store are going to open my box and not let me leave with a sealed product, I won't be buying one and I'll be subsequently protesting the launch. Its BS, its illegal in every other country, and its wrong of them to change it from the current method. They have RUINED this product's launch already.

I had talked to an ATT manager last week and he said all they were doing in store was unbricking the iphones and that the customer would then take the phone home and activate it like the original one. But it was an ATT manager so I didn't really believe him, but now I do!
 
I notices by looking at some of the plist strings there is a message about copying your voicemail to itunes. I this new?

There has been a lot of speculation about how the activation process will go down. I have big doubts Apple/ATT are going to open each sealed box, dig down to the iPhone, plug it in to iTunes, etc, etc. The whole process would take about 10 min per transaction IF things went smoothly. That's fine when no one else is in the store,but when there are hundreds in line that's messy and not effective.

When I bought my original iPhone @ the ATT store on launch day, the rep "pre-registered" my phone w/ my CC and personal data. When I got home I plugged the phone into iTunes, bypassed the credit check portion, clicked the plan I wanted and was done. I suspect this is how ALL U.S. iPhones will be done now. The store links the phone's IMEI to you (the # is on the outside of the box) and your CC and then waits for you to activate. If you don't activate they know who you are.

If I had not activated my Phone w/i 30 days or canceled the acct in that period, the guy at the ATT store told me I'd be charged the full cancellation fee.
 
CAn someone send me the iTunes 7.6.3b4 Software??

HEy!! Can someone send me the iTunes 7.6.3b4 software?? I really would love to have it!! The original download link says that the download limit has been reached. Thanks in advance for everyones help!!
