128GB. About time.

I'd still like a SD card slot myself so that we could upgrade memory to any size rather than having to pay up for one size at the time of purchase. But, in lieu of that, glad to see that increasingly retina everything is finally getting the space to fit more of it in.

Now where's that increased RAM for better multi-tasking and less Safari tab reloads?

it makes kinda sense in a marketing kind of way. people who usually buy the cheap base model will be like hmmmmm with 100$ more i can get so much more space. win win for apple.

its like selling a coke for 1€, 2€ & 4 €. most people would pick the middle cuz it indicated something is probably wrong or too cheap on the 1€ one but if u give them only a 1€ and 2€ option they pick the cheaper one.

Agreed.

16GB for people who will pick the cheapest option and don't care,

for everybody else 64gb is enough that you won't reasonably have to worry about space...

and 128gb for the crazy people (like my wife) that never want to delete any of the 1000's of songs they don't listen to or pictures they don't look at. ;)

You're right, I can actually see 16, 64, 128 and my wife is not going under 64 gigs and if there is 128 she will get it, she takes pictures like you wouldn't believe.

This discussion reminds me of a trip to the theater. You order a medium popcorn and the clerk asks, "You want a super duper extra mega big bucket for just fifty cents more?" You need to remember that the most expensive thing about that order is the bucket they put the popcorn in.

What is with people and wireless charging? It's so gimmicky. Unless I can charge my phone while still moving about a room with my phone in my pocket, I couldn't care less.

I had a palm pixi while waiting for the iphone 4S on verizon-I wanted unlimited and it was $40 off contract-and wireless charging is indeed a nice option. The reasoning is, you don't have to constantly plug in your device. The main benefit is it saves the life of your wires, making you far less likely to buy replacement wires for those that fray because you're using them a lot.

A make or break option? Absolutely not. But it is a nice option, if it can be included. It also saves time in simply removing the phone from the charger, too. Those seconds add up, actually, over the course of a year.

I donn't think so. When the 16GB is being dropped, the 32GB will become the new entry with the same price or a lil' bit more. Apple don't work in these ways. 16GB was entry level long enough, time to move on. See the MBP R 8GB is the new 4GB. No extra costs.

As much as I would love to believe that, Apple is about profit. I can not see them offering that much additional storage for a minimal cost. They have charged big dollars for this kind of thing all along. Just can't see them changing now. I still believe people will pay.

I think I am among the crowd of the 64 gig being more than enough space for my phone. My hopes are that if they drop the 16GB option that the 64GB option will fall into the 32GB price slot. I sure wouldn't mind saving $100!

Had it on my Lumia 820, I'd really love to have it on my iPhone as well. It's super convenient, everywhere I go my phone charges it self. I had a pad on my nightstand, one in the living room, one in the car and one at my office.

I guess it's one of those things that you don't miss until you've tried it.

They better not release the iPhone 6 with 16GB of memory. The OS has become so bloated you only get about 10GB of space. Take about 10 video's and 400 picks and you might have about 1 GB left for apps. Apple needs to step up to the plate and stop using 16GB devices!!!! I'll be so pissed if they screw this up!!

Making a 16GB then a 64GB options is just like Apple saying F You to consumers!! 32GB then 64GB or nothing! Why would apple want to screw its customers???? Guess we will have to wait and see.

Combining rumors:

16 GB $199, glass display
64 GB $299, glass display
128 GB $499, sapphire display

if true, SOLD. 128

My 64 GB iPhone 4S is full. I want the highest-capacity phone in the lowest-screen available. 128 GB 4.7" iPhone 6 sounds good to me... only could be better if Apple would keep the 4.0" size around for the iPhone 6.

I agree. I constantly have to juggle space on my 16Gb iPhone 5 because the dubious "other" data can bloat to nearly 2Gb. I don't even have any heavy apps on the phone. Just a few simple news readers, shopping apps and various apps with a few Mb of files such as spreadsheets or PDF files.

everyone needs bigger storage don't they ?

suddenly 512 Gig will be in our iOS devices, and we no longer need cloud.

Not to mention, it will be a first.

Don't push the analogy too far, the principles of up selling are the same whether it's 50 cents for more popcorn or $100 for more memory.

good luck finding an iOS device with an SD card anytime soon. That would be quite cool, but it's not happening.

This article is interesting because it suggests that maybe the only three sizes are 16, 64 and 128. That would make a lot of people happy.

How much do/did those cost?

128 GB, 5.5", Apple ecosystem, what I think is a sexy design.....this will be my dream phone. HOPE all this turns out to be true.
