That actually looks premium compared to the iPhone 12 Mini toy with the ugly notch plus Sony makes camera sensors for nearly every phone out there. Not sure if I'm in the market for a netbook of phones though. I want the largest screen size that'll fit comfortably in my pocket so when I do have to use it, like for navigation, I don't have to hold it to my face to see the content on the screen. Had the iPhone 4/4S and those were a joke in size.

One thing to keep in mind it may be a good chance that the 12 mini is a loss leader for Apple and if someone wants something small they have to either ask for it and search on the website for it. A loss leader is not going to make the company's front page advertisement of exciting products.
Mas leader is not. That the only determines after sales and after proper equal marketing has been pushed to it since it never began that way in the first place that I can’t officially be a loss leader as you describe it it’s been lost before even shipped

Thanks for dismissing everything I said. If you have proof that it wasn't a loss leader then prove it. Otherwise don't be rudely dismissive like that.

Xperia phones - Irrelevant since 2011!

I never understood how they make the best camera sensors, great alpha cameras, but absolutely awful camera phones. Every new range is the same "we have improved the software, by using input from the Alpha team" or "The Alpha Team have now taken over the camera software" or "The camera team, Team Alpha, have helped to improve the camera to produce the best quality images ever".

All the reviews. Great phone, camera sucks!

Actually most reviews of the Xperia 1 mII are very impressed.
The software is THE pinnacle of that unit ... and even MKBHD states that the Xperia 1 MII PRO is the ONLY 'pro' phone that deserves the moniker.

I think you're referring to previous Xperia phones.

Great then go ahead and buy one.
Man you have a strange thought process in your comment reply, I said nothing of my interest in buying one. I stated competition is good - as it could and most likely would push Apple to develop future versions of the Mini (meaning a market exists to sought out for, and build a better device than the competition). Right now Apple is only competing with themselves.

All my friends make fun of me for my tiny phone. I know that I have enormous hands like Andre the Giant, but I just love my mini. It's perfect for what I use it for. 12.9 is my media consumption device and iPad mini is my reader of choice. Yes, it's three devices, but it's cool, I have a back pack and they are always with me anyway.

Some people, right... *shrug*
