Due to events ^, all I have to say now is:

If that's the case, then where is the 11S?
Hard to tell what cycle Apple is on.Apple is now on a 3-year cycle. 6, 6S, 7, then X and 8 on the same year, then XS, then 11.

- 6, 6s, 7, 8, se model 2
- x, xs/max, iphone 11/pro/pro max
I agree with respect to Apple not changing the design yearly. Apple has to ensure they remain competitive by releasing innovative products yearly.Looks like 4 years. This also implies that it took Apple about 4 years to write down the costs of the equipment used to manufacture the iPhone 6 (one can infer that the SE2’s price is the “real cost” of an iPhone).
It’s also in line with existing rumours that this year’s iPhone will be a similar form factor as the X, with next year being the design refresh.
Plus, with people holding on to their iPhones longer, Apple probably doesn’t feel pressured to have to keep changing the design so radically every other year in order to stay competitive.
I've had some A to Lightning cables fray or stop working, but C to Lightning are much better, and I never had a port fail.I have never had a device with a lightning port fail. And, I still have my original cables. Even the cable that came with the Ipad 2.

Lint/dust seems to be the enemy of lightning ports. I blow out mine with compressed air infrequently. (whether that is bad for the port, I don't know...but I don't overdo it.)I've had lightning ports fail, then I pick the lint out of them and they magically work again!
The worst I had happen is something got in the headphone jack, so it kept thinking headphones were connected. Had to rip the swab off of a Q-Tip and stick the stick in an spin it around, which did fix it.I've had lightning ports fail, then I pick the lint out of them and they magically work again!
What the... you know what? You're right!
Also...
I have a $1000 dresser, I should be able to use it like a bed.
And my car, I should be able to use it as a boat.
For crying out loud. My $1000 bread maker should also make mashed potatoes!
LOL. The original Apple TV WAS an inexpensive computer, and barely anyone bought it.
I think smartphones are more like computers compared to cars and boats.
BTW, you can get drawers in your bed frame and use it like a dresser. Ever heard of a Murphy bed?
The Apple TV was less like a computer compared to the smart phone. The CPUs are mostly the same, it's just the software that's the difference. Very few people bought the Apple TV, I agree. However I think this is because it really doesn't do too much. The App Store has changed things for a while but you're still limited.
What if you could use the Apple TV like an IOS computer? A $299 Apple computer? Yes, it runs iOS, but so do the iPads.

The original Apple TV ran Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. It was a computer. Barely anyone purchased it.
But it also was just a Mac and you could install any Mac app you wanted. It also didn't have any apps to install and you were stuck with whatever apps Apple gave you. It really was a waste of potential.
I can tell you for a fact that I put my Samsung device on a Apple wireless charger and it charged. It did not fast charger because we'll apple had a slower standard. But I have out a new iPhone on my Samsung fast charger and it charged fine and faster then the apples. So what ever phone you where using probably just didn't accept what ever lower wattage that charger was putting out. Each phone will have a minimal standard that is no surprise the same goes for wall chargers. If I try and use a lower voltage wall brick to change my note 8 it will say weak charger detected and but charger. If I try to plug it into my wireless charger base or use the wrong kind of cable the base will give an error light. Plus the phone will again indicate it's not charging it charger at noon fast charging speeds. So again you need to make sure what ever your trying to charger with meets your requirements. But in this case we are taking about charging a Apple product. A Samsung wireless charger will charge it as will most name brand QI charger's. Check into Anker as they make plenty of apple charging products and they after very well made. I've yet to destroy any of my Anker cables or chargers some if which have actually lasted longer then my phone's life cycle.I actually put my Android phone with wireless charging capability on a wireless Apple charger and it wouldn't charge. You didn't think they would actually allow interoperability with an industry-standard did you? I'm pretty sure if they want a wireless charging device they're going to have to pay the Apple tax.
Only if you jailbroke it so not really. But it also was just a Mac and you could install any Mac app you wanted.

There still was a jailbreak for first gen Apple tv. You can jailbreak more things than iPhones. Look at psp, switch etc. The only way to run Mac OS on atv was to jailbreak it.No jailbreak. It wasn’t iOS.
Sure, whatever. It still doesn't change the fact that it was a full fledged Mac. You could use it as a Mac if you wanted. There still was a jailbreak for first gen Apple tv. You can jailbreak more things than iPhones. Look at psp, switch etc. The only way to run Mac OS on atv was to jailbreak it.

We are talking about the same device. The iPhone is a full fledge iOS device with or without a jailbreak. The Original AppleTV was a full fledge mac with or without a jailbreak.I think we're talking about two different things. I'm referring to the original Apple TV before you could install any apps on it.
