Based on my experience with anodize colors, there’s no good anodize dye option for purple that is light-fast. They fade extremely fast when exposed to UV. If Apple uses one that does not, I’d love to know the supplier.

I’m actually surprised Apple hasn’t rolled out a choose your own colour option - they of course would charge an arm and a leg to create your own colour and place your order.

Guessing they think it’s not profitable enough or they would be backlogged with orders.

But those mockup colours are hideous.

No, no and no. At this rate, they should offer a way to do any colour that a customer wants. Just buy ColorWare and build it into the checkout process.
ColorWare is terrible. The "finishes" come off faster than you can remove the protective plastic wrap from your new phone.

The difference is: those will cost 1000+ €\$

What I find interesting is that people do not agree with my suggestion that the iPhone Pro/Pro Max colors should be limited to Silver, Space Gray and Black. Despite the claims of Internet influencers, I personally think staying with these colors adds a bit of "professionalism" to the phone since they are aimed for more advanced users.

Most people stuff there phone in a case anyway plus a large amount of Pro phone buyers buy them simply to have the best phone rather than because they need the Pro features. Not to say that having a couple of Pro colours isn't a bad thing though. Whilst I'm not fan of the Cosmic Orange it's good that Apple has gone for a bolder option for a change.

Love the purple and burgundy red! Still wishing we would get a product red release again!
There will probably never be another Product Red release from Apple because Tim Cook is too stingy to allow Apple to continue donating a small percentage from sale of those devices to the Global Fund to fight AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria. That is the reality of Tightwad Tim.

Agreed. I'm sure Apple get their ideas from trawling through forum posts these days. "Apple should make a small phone" "why aren't the pro phones more colourful"

Meanwhile in the real world the biggest selling phone every year is a black pro max.
I would’ve bought a black Pro Max in an INSTANT if it was offered. Which is why I went with a space black Air instead.👏🏼

Yeah, they should let a designer mock them up. I can see in my head exactly how Apple would do it. These leaks are often correct but the renders are so wrong that it taints them. It taints them with poop.

I can see the beautiful Cosmic Purple in my mind. Darker, touch more blue, metallic sheen. Doesn’t look like a tween lamp shade. A coffee more like rich roasted beans. Doesn’t look like creamy baby poo. And the burgundy more vibrant, less warm, touch lighter. Doesn’t look like a brick in the wall. I would mock them up but I’m in bed about to sleep.
I had ChatGPT make two shade variations a render, I think it’s closer to what Apple would actually make. Personally I’m skipping the 18 but I do love purple!

What's unproffesional about a color?
