At this point, iMac looks iconic enough that Apple can omit their logo from the front.
But I do miss an Apple logo on the front.

It could look neat with one of the 90s tiny '3D' rainbow apple logos, in the lower left corner! 🌈
That’s an awesome idea. I’ve had one since launch and never thought of doing that. Now I’m going to find a tiny OG logo sticker to do just that 😁

The new leakers, the ones that don’t even require having a contact in the industry, so you don’t get sued by Apple.
“Today’s leaks, there was going to be a different color to the iPhone 13, BUT THERE WASN’T!”
“The iPod nano was going to stay on the market for another year, BUT IT DIDN’T!”

I like the Apple logo on my Apple Studio Display, on the back.
Not occupied a lot on where logos are placed on my Apple devices - they just are there.
Not planning to buy an iMac, so I don't care.
Even if I would, meeh, the logo 😂

The biggest thing missing has been the 27" screen. A real bummer to go permanently to a smaller screen size. If anything, they should have keep a 27" model and offered a larger option. My current M3 iMac had to be set on top of a old Mac Mini to get the height back up to where the my old iMac was and I had to add a second screen to get more real estate. Definitely a step backward in design and usability.

When the iMac moved from Intel processors to Apple silicon in 2021, the desktop computer also received a new colorful, ultra-thin design. Since then, the iMac has lacked something that it had for many years: an Apple logo below the screen.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Apple did prototype a version of the current iMac with an Apple logo below the screen, according to a post on X today from a user known as Kosutami. The user has occasionally shared images of alleged Apple device prototypes, but they have also shared some incorrect information in the past.

Apple evidently went with a logo-free iMac screen, but 2021-and-newer models do still have a large Apple logo on the back of the computer.

It would probably be more surprising if Apple had NOT tested both logo and logo-free designs, but if this sort of thing interests you, then now you know.

Do you think Apple made the right choice? Let us know in the comments section.

They've got some consistency issues with their branding on products. Pick one way for mobile devices and another way for desktop ones. Stop forcing the way you brand iPhone and iPad on massive monitors or in this case iMac. We get it, the back of the phone has the apple logo - but that's because you hold the device up to your head when you're on a call and the front is entirely a display. On desktop, if you have a chin or bezel, put branding on it. Most people don't see the back of their monitor.

I was always confused why the iMac had a chin to begin with considering Apple can cram an M-series chip into an iPad behind the screen. Yes it would have been added thickness to enable proper cooling but probably not mores than the Studio Display or a 16" MBP in clamshell mode.

I always thought it made it look sort of cheap without it. Like a knockoff product. Bring it back.
right now it looks as the de-apple-fied stock photo used in countless non-apple ads

First it seems to me odd without logo, now I found it better without logo…. Minimalist design of the iMac is great. Even though the Apple on the back is huge
Hence I hope they don’t bring back the logo on the front
But I would prefer to have more important rumors, like a 90hz display

Apple would have made a fortune if they sold color matched apple stickers as an extra for everyone that miss the chin logo.

Aside from the garish white bezels (to each their own, I know, but I hate them), having nothing under the display brings more attention to the chin (which honestly, shouldn't even be there). An appropriate sized Apple logo on the chin would've finished the deign off nicely. The absence of a logo in the front makes the iMac look like colorful computer props for furniture stores.
