The white notch fits the overall design aesthetic, so it looks okay, IMO. However, when using you MBA in dark mode, it will look like a lighthouse beacon on your screen.
There is no drama besides the one the forum nerds are making up.They will be white because by the time it’s out, the drama over the black MBP notch will subside, so we can have a fresh new one about the white notch.

Still a pretty machine. I am not repulsed by the bezels, like some are.Th silver MacBook airs for last decade are just spectacular, brilliant and have a nicer silver finish,

What nonsense. In the office I'm working, about three quarters use dark mode, which would clash with the white borders. Aside from that, Microsoft hasn't added a white-on-dark mode for Word recently without a reason.Office workers in brightly lit environments are also likely to warm to the same design attributes, while using apps with white backgrounds such as spreadsheets and word processors, which pair well with the light gray bezels.
The bloke just goes iMac is in colours with white bezels so MacBook Air will be in colours with white bezels. There is no more to it.
Because Ive isn' there anymore and the janitor designed the new NotchBooks Pro and iMacs.Leakers Claim Next MacBook Air Will Have White Notch and Bezels, Here's Why They Could Be Right
I hated Jony Ive when he was at Apple. Now that I see what they’re doing without him, I miss him.Looks like a toy, not a personal computer. Please bring Jony Ive back. In the last 2 years Apple created the most uninspired and ugly products ever.
The white bezels in general are an affront to humankind.
