That’s why I skipped on the bright orange Apple leather case. Too risky for me. Especially with the bright color. And I really liked that color. But saddle brown also does the trick for me.

I don’t think you’ll like Apple’s as the midnight case has that navy blue tint
the peeling happens on every case tho? They are all finished the same. Imo the patina looks just as bad on any 12-14 series apple leather case. The only appeal of the apple brown leather was they aged the best, that doesn't really hold anymore.
It does happen to every Apple leather case indeed. But less noticeable on the darker colored cases. If you don’t want it, the only option is another case brand. Which I going to do. One leather Apple case is enough.. the others are the well known brands often referred to on this forum.

Hammer, nails, 1 quart rubbing alcohol, and a piece of steel wool.
alcohol wipe wipe and some vaseline should do it if you dont want to get anything special.
I've had my Dune for about 6 weeks now. It's darkened quite a bit, but the color reminds me of wet sand. I'll put up a photo soon.

$60. is a lot for a case that turns to crap fast.
this is how they age starting from 12->13->14 due to square design + cheaper leather (non european)
