I already had a Native Union Slim Stow sleeve and can confirm that the iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard will fit correctly in the sleeve. You can also keep the pencil docked in the sleeve. Occasionally pulling the iPad Pro out will strip the pencil, but it just drops inside the sleeve.

Can confirm this also. I recently purchased the native union sleeve and the IPad Pro (12.9) fits inside easily with the Magic Keyboard.

I have a 12.9” and was hesitating to buy the Stow Slim because their website says it’s “NOT compatible with the Apple Magic Keyboard”.

Could you confirm this is the one you purchased? And would it also fit with the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil both attached?

I bought this Harber Slim Eve for my 12.9”. It works with the magic keyboard really well. It is a little tight to put in but I think this is only because it is new. The good thing is that it came in about 2 days from Spain to the US.

I have this too. I like it but I do wish is had some kind of clasp to shut it.

I had a Harber sleeve - they stretch out very quickly (mine stretched a lot and the iPad ended up quite loose; just a warning).

Have a leather and wool felt sleeve from Crazy Horse Craft for my 11in pro. Bought last year and fit the iPad with keyboard folio and pencil attached well.

With the MK, it fits but it’s tight. With just the iPad and MK (no pencil) it’s a perfect fit. With the pencil on the flap end, the flap doesn’t sit completely flat, which may improve over time if it stretches out. If I flip how I insert my set up, with pencil in first and the spine of the MK near the flap, the flap lays flat due to the longer edge compared to the pencil. (Pics attached in the above sequence)

Their website states it will fit either with the keyboard folio or MK now so maybe they added a little length to the flap now. Not a cheap sleeve so happy it still works for me.

I measured my 12.9” w/ MKB and the width is around 9”, so I’m guessing they say its incompatible due to the pencil and keyboard not fitting. If you just leave the pencil undocked with the magic keyboard, I’m guessing it may fit hence the post earlier.

I may pull the trigger to see as I am interested in the case too.

This looks awesome. Might have to order this week and give it a try. They really should update their site though considering how many people are likely not buying due to the explicit warning given not to use with the MK.

Yes they should. I just got this case a few days ago and the iPad with Magic Keyboard fits easily inside.

Thanks for looking into this! I wish the sleeve would fit with the pencil attached, but it's good to know it would work well at least with the Magic Keyboard.

Something like this looks cool, kinda pricey though and not sure if it supports the Magic Keyboard, I'm going to email them and will post here if they reply.

Well the OP's post sent me on a quest to check out my iPad sleeve collection. Two strikes out of three :(. I do have the Waterfield Air Caddy ordered.

My older Pad & Quill case, originally purchased for the 12" MacBook worked with my 2018 iPad Pro 12.9" with the original Apple Folios. With the new MK, nope. Well that was probably too much to ask. I'd check their line out. If they don't have something now. I know they will have something soon.

I also had an Esty purchase from Crazy Horse Craft "Handmade in Lithuania". Nope.

Finally my Vaja beautiful all leather case came through. This was an expensive purchase, but it is beautiful. I did buy it on sale months ago. So please don't let your eyes bug out when you see the current price. I do love it. That really would have been a hard hit if I had to pass it on.

Thanks for confirming that the Vaja case works as that is what I have and my MK hasn’t arrived yet. It’s a beautiful case. I imagine that the case, MK and iPad Pro 12.9” weight combined will be significant, but then the handle on that bag makes it feel lighter when holding it in that position.

On the Vaja Leather Pouch. You do give up a little interior storage as the iPad and MK combo are thicker the the Apple folios. I do not find it a problem.

I'm currently waiting for the Waterfield Design Air Caddy.

Once they can get back to work (Pandemic shutdown) I'll do a little comparison, just for fun, and post here.

Millydog let us know your thoughts on the Vaja/MK combo once you get it.

Keep us updated!! That folio is gorgeous *drool*

The Waterfield Design Air Caddy looks good. It actually looks like it would be lighter than the Vaja, so that will also be interesting to hear. What colour have you selected?
I would personally, like to attach leather loops to the sides of my Vaja case and add a shoulder strap. Not sure if I’d bother though and I wouldn’t want it ruined. I had tended to put my iPP 12.9 with the Apple Folio Cover (not the keyboard one) straight into my handbag. So I’d keep doing that if I end up leaving the MK at home.
I have actually been going backwards and forwards on the MK and cancelled and reordered it a few times. It’s not that I don’t want the cover, it’s just that I’ve been wondering if I should switch to the 11” next release for more portability. But I now feel that my 10.5 seems too small when using it with a keyboard, so my current thought is that even if I pick up an 11” one day, it will be as a tablet and not I’d keep the MK for my 12.9”.
So at this stage, the MK is on order again, but not expected until 18th - 25th.

They ended up responding, they said while they have not yet tested it with the Magic Keyboard, according to the specifications it should work fine. They said if you run into issues and are in the US, then they offer a complimentary return + refund.

I'm in Canada so not sure if I want to risk it, I might wait for them to test it.

I have been using that case to carry my 2020 12.9” and it’s quite nice, luxurious quality and craftsmanship though expensive for vegan leather. The interior is lined with a microfiber like material from recycled plastic bottles.

I can confirm that it’s the fit is very tight for an iPad 12.9”‘ with MK. You’ve got to really shove it until the vegan leather stretches. It bulges out the case and while you can close the flap - it’s requires a bit of work to pull it back out. You’ll want to slide it in with the hinge side in otherwise if you slide your iPad with MK with opening side in - it will scrape and ruin the microfiber interior.

For an iPad and pencil alone, it’s a great case.

I personally think it’s not an idea case for both iPad with MK for the money and would recommend an unlined case.

First 3 photos are with iPad Pro 12.9 and pencil. Fourth is iPad Pro 12.9 with MK.

I went with the canvas Air Caddy, though the leather looks nice. I thought canvas just to change it up from the all leather Vaja.

Just received mine. Priority international shipping from HK (very nice Nomad).

Its a nice fit. The iPad won't fit with the pencil but the front pocket is very nice. The magnetic closure is a nice touch as well.

Does the pencil not Fit inside the sleeve at all? I'm thinking about picking up the 12.9 version of it
