I don't like its design that much to be honest (in that case I'd rather go with the TUCH ultra thin sleeve). Also it looks too bulky and thick.

I have one, and it's about as thin a design that I can imagine one can possible do to accomodate 3-5 cards and several bills. Here is why.

You want the pouch to hold its form, and for that you need quality leather of a certain thickness. On the other hand, to minimize bulk, you want as few pockets as possible. You don't want cards mixed up with cash because it's rather inconvenient to have to separate them as you access one other other. That leaves you with a design with a minimum of 4 layers of leather.

The Atelier Pall does add another leather strap on top of the minimum 4 layers of leather, so it's slightly more bulky than say another design without a strap. But I think the strap is what set it apart from other designs with tight pockets to keep things from falling out. It make accessing cards and cash a lot easier. I find it about as convenient to use as my wallet. Other designs you really have to take your time to neatly fold cash to make it work. That may be OK occasionally, but day in day out it's annoying for me.

I usually carry 3 cards and 3-6 bills, but I have stuffed 5 cards and 8 bills in mine and it still worked quite well. But for 3 cards and a few bills and the iPhone 5, it's thinner than my old wallet. I don't think there is anything out there that's better for me.

Best of all, the thing is beautifully made using really nice leather. I think the iPhone 5 will become obsolete long before this wallet wears out.

Leather sleeve/wallet for iPhone 5, which one?

How many things can you put in just one pocket? Maybe the mono version offers enough room for 4 cards and a few bills. :)

EDIT: that wallet has externally stitched sides. As DEG1 said, that tends to make the wallet way wider than the phone and unnecessarily bulky. :-/

I tried 4 cards and 5 bills without a problem in one pocket.

About external stitches, I don't think it make a difference. Think about it, if the stitches are internal, then they would take away from the internal space for the phone, so the internal dimensions would have to be larger to allow room for the stitches.

For wallets you need thicker leather to hold the form, not the thin leather that used to make gloves. With thick leather, you need thicker stitches. But in the end you end up with a practical wallet that last, not a cheap wallet with skinny leather and threads.

If you want the skinniest pouch, get one that just hold the iPhone and nothing else. They are like a sunglass pouch.

I have a joli sleeve for my iphone, iPad mini, and MacBook Air. I love them. I also have a saddleback satchel I love. Saddleback also has some sleeves that I nearly wish I had bought instead.

I don't think it's a great idea. Actually it's terrible. I don't want to have my cards attached to the iPhone while I'm using it. That's very uncomfortable.

Yep, I bought and now not sure what to do with a Speck Flex Card case which holds 3 cards and the iPhone. One problem is you are stuck with the cards when you use the phone even when you don't need the cards, and the cards stick out a bit which is annoying. It's like wearing a fishing vest at home (not that I fish or owns a fishing vest :)

There is a big difference actually. If the stitches are external the case/sleeve will be noticeably wider.

I fail to see how. The difference between internal and external stitches is that the sleeve with internal stitches was sewn with external stitches and then turned inside out. You just don't see the stitches, but they still take up physical space. The difference is that if they are internal, they share the space with the phone, so you need to make the inside of the pouch a bit bigger.

Perhaps you are thinking of the difference between thin and thick leather construction. With a thin leather construction (think of a sun glass bag), the seams can be really thin and when made as "internal stitches" they take up very little space. However, if thicker leather is used, the seams would stick out quite a bit and take up some of the available space of the pouch, therefore the pouch has to be made bigger.

I have the same leather iPhone 5 case which you want for your iPhone. It is light weight and it doesn’t just hold my iPhone but some of my important stuff as well. You can choose from a variety of iPhone 5 cases that are available online.

Anyone tried SGP's Snap Wallet combo :

http://youtu.be/4F9Bon_12sk

It's basically a wallet style flap, which houses some cards on the left, and then you have the iPhone on the right hand side of the wallet but in this case, the iPhone actually is detachable from the case .i.e. you can use the phone out of the wallet whilst at home, but then clip the whole thing together when you are about to go out.

I actually have this one too - frankly I think it's great. I usually just keep a credit card and license in it - I almost always need one or the other. They only stick up enough to grab them - you definitely couldn't read the numbers and it's really secure. Had it for a while now - works like a charm.

well, i think the link you shared is quite good, through the sleeve has no extra space for putting your money, but why are you so insisted on this, just put your money on your wallet.

Isn't it obvious? The idea of carrying this kind of sleeves is to leave the wallet at home. Otherwise it doesn't mKe sense to use a sleeve/wallet and a regular wallet.

Leather sleeve/wallet for iPhone 5, which one?

Finally I bought the TUCH sleeve. Now I'm patiently waiting, but I haven't received any email from the seller. Kind of horrible customer service.

EDIT: What the... Now the website is down. I'm starting to get worried...

I'm sorry to bump this thread, but I'm worried.

I bought my sleeve like three-four weeks ago, and I haven't received anything.

The email is not working. The addresses sales@tuchmade.com and support@tuchmade.com no longer exist. The Gmail address that I got from the Paypal transaction doesn't work neither (this one does exist, however I don't get any reply).

As if that wasn't enough, the website (tuchmade.com) is death as well.

I'm starting to think that this is some sort of scam.

I purchased the HINT from SFbags.com last week. $25 with a few dollars shipping, got it in 3 days by 1st class mail.

The mesh screen on the back expands...one guy placed 14 credit cards in there, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's not the sexiest looking, but the leather is real, thicker then Sena Ultra...looks sort of 'western' . solid sewing. Good protection and feel.

I like the window screen...I hated taking the phone out for every 'beep' that occurred. Perfect for wired or BT headsets.

Hey, calling my sleeve 'cheap' on an accessory forum is fighting words! :D

Actually, it is well made, with solid stitching, rugged leather and a felt interior. It is, I admit, a bit boxy. I spoke with SFbags and they are redesigning.

But it is really fit for purpose, for me. The window is very useful...I tire of removing a sleeve, especially if it is tight, to check every 'beep'.

I read your posts and you're looking for something different - may be a holy grail.

So how is that TUCH case working out for you? Still no delivery?

Lol, a holy grail? Come on, what I'm asking for is not that special.

And yeah, I still haven't received my Tuch case. The seller seems to be death or something. He doesn't answer anything. I'm even waiting for a confirmation or tracking number, but I never received a word from this person. Anyway, I already created a controversy in PayPal, so I'm moving on and looking for something else.

I like this one in this thread I started: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1565277/
It's from Etsy too, but only $25. It's more of a suede leather, instead of the really fancy stuff, but it's $75 cheaper than a lot of the other ones on Etsy and looks really nice.

Thanks for your suggestion, but two slots don't cover my needs since I need at least three slots for my cards and one for some money.
