The Chinese don't think that way. At all. They don't view cheating or copying as "wrong" the way we would. They think they're being clever. Not kidding you. Ask anyone with experience with the Chinese.
Yeah, I've been informed that - apparently - early in the transition from socialism to free market manufacturing, Chinese officials offered economic incentives to copy ideas.

I just cannot respect that on any level.

All that said, China does now have homegrown and original tech brands - like DJI.

I really don't get it, are you that uncomfortable with your choice of Apple, that you have to be so outspoken about competition ? I love Apple, but they are kinda pricy, the more competition we have, the better products Apple are forced to make. "LeCrap" "wast of human skin to be an engineer working on this" and so on.
Personally i would take great personal pride in making something almost as good as the leading in the industry at 1/5 the price.

and low and behold they did not just copy they innovated, the made a screen on the back !

Im pretty sure this is fake.
or they have the worst marketing ever, there is no references to LEBEST older than 24 hours according to Google ?
do any of you have a link to the site announcing this, or to lebest.cn, or what ever the company is called.

The only refference older than 24 hours is on facebook, where they have a post from 2018, and a link to
WARNING NOT SAFE FOR WORK "Http://www.lebestmobile.com/en/ "WARNING NOT SAFE FOR WORK
that is most DEFINITELY NOT selling phones

EDIT: well apparently they do exist, after talking to my collogue that speaks Chinese (and read)

ALSO the description on JD.com homepage :

"he phone is actually a miscellaneous brand! In layman's terms, it is a copycat!
Software compatibility is poor with hardware matching! There is no information available on the Internet!
There is no guarantee of quality, no official website, no after-sales phone number and address, and it is completely based on the store's warranty. Stores can only be maintained manually.
How long it lasts is a matter of personal character. Performance God knows? The data parameters are mostly fake values for brushing! False advertising is ********."

Could be sort of cool if the phone automatically enables speakerphone if you accept a call from the back.

I work in the technology sector.

Imagine how depressing it would be to dedicate a single minute of your life to building or marketing a copycat device.

What a pathetic, tragic waste of materials, energy, and human labour.
I do work in Technology also... more than 40 years..... and I think different ;)

Samsung and so many more have had such immense growth by copying!
I truly believe it have very efficient for them to copy and have success by it!

Of course they just did it at the beginning (mostly), but now they fly a bit more distant in that regard.
But they build their brand, their empire, upon a Copy.

So did Windows, as a matter of fact!
It let Microsoft become one of the biggest players in town, by copying the MacOS.
Very efficient in human labour. I have never seen worst made products in my life, yet they did got so far by copying... So, I believe it did work for them!

And even by doing it horribly wrong, they did got away with it very far!

Steve Jobs always complained, not by the copy itself, but how horribly bad was the copy!
(I have worked with both OS all my life, and I do feel the same!)

Copying is just one way of achieving success.
Of course Google maybe got inspired by Altavista, maybe Yahoo, and look where it got by doing it better!

I had a Newton and latter a Palm Pilot. The latter copy killed the former one.
I really hope this will never happen to the iPhone.... never..... I hope..... but then... maybe its Nothing..... can someone new come and do it? never say never...... but I hope not.

There is always room to copy!

At $150, I can’t imagine their build quality being anything that would withstand even gentle everyday use.
I was having a laugh, until I remember seeing one imitation of a past iPhone.

I was a bit slow... but its screen colours were gorgeous!!! Such I nice, rich colour screen!!!

It claimed to have more internal storage than it actually had.... but it really felt solid.... way to solid for the price...... it really felt good..... and never felt apart..... their gain was that its storage was small..... but great to see Netflix o simple things....

A bit slow, but absolutely no complain on the solidity. At least on this iPhone clones....
If it had more storage, maybe it would have been my favorite Android Phone, instead of my Samsung Note.

So quality issues, sometimes can not apply. Yet it was not tested for a very extended period of time.

Not giving this a thumbs up, but a serious question is, all this for 150$? Still making profit on that, so how much is Apple making?

It is why Apple is the richest company in the world.

In the end, the iPhone is also a chinese phone.

the lawsuit form apple to samsung was samsung made a rectangular phone.

I **** you not thats what the lawsuit was despite other manufactures having rectangular phones well before apple.

LOL

And yet new features of Apple has been stolen from Android phones.

If you want to know the new features of the iPhone 18, just look at the current Android flagship phones as Apple will be copying it.
