I really think everyone gets too caught up in trying to figure out where Lebron rates historically. He's 29 and will probably play at a high level for several more years. Why not enjoy watching a once in a generation player and when his career is over see where he stands? I don't think LeBron will be able to match Jordan in titles, or get five even, due to the rules today which discourage building teams with more than one elite player. I think he will be top 10,but other than that it's too early to say.

Looks like Bron Bron is opting out.

Now we get The Decision 2.0

hopefully he learned from there and deals with this in a better way.

Melo opted out as wel. Unfortunately i don't think there is any way for my knicks to get the two of them to team up in NY.
honestly, at this point I wouldn't mind a complete reboot here without melo.

Didn't watch or follow anything about this the last time around, and don't plan on doing anything different this time.

The Decision 2.0 won't happen. he admitted the first one was a mistake.

My guess is LBJ to Cleveland or LAC and Melo to Chicago.

That would be great if JBJ came to the Clippers.

Before comparing the two MJ and LBJ, why don't we wait till JBJ career is over so we can compare stats. Doing so right now is fruitless.

----------

I'm doing LBJ a favor. Even if I spot him the one finals he carried a team to, he couldn't get it done.

You destroy your argument by comparison to other sports. NBA is less a of a team sport where one player can take the game over.

Michael Jordan is the single play most recognized as "the greatest ever". My argument isn't Lebron isn't "one of the greatest", it's that Lebron isn't "the greatest". Jordan won when it mattered. Period.

Not really, Jordan was beat a couple of times in the playoffs, so to say he won when it mattered is kind of mute.

Football is less of a team sport where one play can take the game over also.

Yes MJ was beat in the playoffs. But not in the nba finals. That's what we mean. The highest stakes he not only went 6-0 but was MVP all 6 times and made countless clutch plays.

Football is more a team game than basketball by far. Offensive/defensive line, special teams etc. the fact that they don't play offense and defense just means basketball is more an individual sport.

Gotcha re: NBA Finals. Understand. So a better statement would be, in the NBA finals, MJ was clutch and didn't lose.

Lebron got swept in what arguably wasn't his worst finals. This one was an absolute drubbing.

This one may be his team's worst finals, but Lebron played well in this one. In 2011 Lebron pretty much blew that one for the Heat. I don't remember his numbers for the 2007 finals, but I don't believe they were stellar.

What the Knicks need is for Dolan to sell the team and get out of sports. He is the main reason they suck. He is like the Jerry Jones of the NBA.

I also think Melo is a cancer to what ever team he goes to. He is just like A-Rod.

Wow didn't see that coming. That will definitely give ESPN a lot of fodder to talk about now for the next few days.

I thought Miami was out of running after he had lunch with Wade and Bosch - just the way they seemed to respond, with Bosch contemplating an offer from the Rockets - he knew something was up

I'm glad to see Lebron back in Cleveland. It just seems like a great fit at this point. Plus I feel bad for the Cleveland fans, never winning championships in anything :p:D.

For someone who left the team in the worst fashion in 2010, he did it perfectly this year with that letter posted on SI.

I'm surprised he is going back to Cleveland, but to me that's really the only place he could go and not hurt his reputation. It's going to be interesting to see what he does with the young talent in Cleveland.

Here is the story

Perfect... Manziel. LeBron. Cleveland.
Somebody does us all a favor and nuke the city now

Agreed.

Yeah, it is going to be non-stop LeBron for quite awhile.
