Apple will not include normal notification light because that is a normal and expected feature of cell phones since the late 1980s, but Apple does not want you to think iPhones are normal. They want you to think they are different... and they want you to always wish for just a little more. It's a classic seduction technique and boy oh boy don't they have us all pretty well seduced.
