I just started keepin my phone in my left pocket and it's nicer because my right hand is free but it is more difficult to use the phone one handed. Especially for things like taking pictures.

i can't keep my phone in my left pocket anymore. because i can't seem to take a picture one handed with my left hand. and i take tons and tons of pictures. when you hold the phone so that the volume buttons are facing up and take the picture that way...the picture shows up upside down when viewed on the computer. and i can't figure out how to take a picture with my left hand holding it with the volume buttons down.

it did have a lot of advantages. being able to write things down or use my mouse while on the phone. my keys are in my back right pocket so i could unlock my car while on the phone.

but alas, with my left hand i am way to slow at typing one handed, more difficult to navigate but not impossible. it is, however, impossible to take a clear picture while only using my left hand. at least not without positioning it with both hands first. even then i am afraid i'll drop the phone.

thanks everyone for your votes and replies.

Anyone have issues taking pictures with their left hand. I'm so uncoordinated it's not funny

So I officially switched back to right pocket. On paper left is better. But right just feels better.

Right-handed. Phone goes in left-front.

I have things of greater importance in the right-side pockets or on my belt: wallet, keys, utilities such as a Leatherman and/or pocketknife.

Also I tend to hold the phone w/ my left hand and peck at the screen with my right-hand fingers, being right-handed and all.

Left left.

Another interesting scenario I saw on another forum was what hand, which wrist for watch.

what I do wasn't an option the poll, but I'll post it anyways,

This habit started with my 3G -> 3GS the curve just fits so well with my behind lol, so I started putting the phone inside my left back pocket, up to this day, I still do it. But the 4s' blocky shape is a little bit uncomfortable sometimes.

Interesting. Thanks for posting.

I was taught that I had to write with my right hand. I am left hand dominant. As such I use my left hand on my iPhone and anything else if I can, and still write with my right. iPhone lives in left, wallet in right, keys in the little pocket above right.
