I write Left handed! :) But I was tested by a doctor a long time ago (for ADD) and I was considered ambidextrous for most everything!! I never have a dominant way to reach and pick up things. I am like that when I snowboard too--i switch back and forth, goofy and regular, and neither stance seems more comfortable to me than the other!! :p

Put me on the right-handed team! Go righties! Err...something. :)

The only thing I do lefty is hold a hockey stick...and I have no idea why. It just feels more comfortable.

I bat left-handed due to a lot of time on a coed softball team. Doesn't matter, though, as I suck either way. ;)

I'm right-handed for most everything else. Including in ways alluded to in previous Abstract sigs.

Left handed. However, I have been oppressed into using my right hand for batting and throwing. I demand reparations. Oh, and more services and buildings should be designed to accomodate me - too many right handed people forget that I am people too.

Left handed for everything except scissors and using a mouse (my elementary school had maybe one pair of left-handed scissors). I always thought of myself as much more analytical than creative, however. In fact, I would be surprised if it were possible for anyone to be less creative than I am. I would think independent thought and a thorough analysis of relevant factors would lead someone to choose OSX as opposed to Windows. OS X just seems like the rational choice.

Yeah me too - good at maths & languages and also quite creative. I'm also right-handed.

I'm pretty useless at doing stuff with my left side in general. e.g. skating... I can turn to the right a lot more easily than to the left; it just feels unnatural turning left. A couple of years ago I had an accident and buggered up my left knee. It's obviously all fully healed now, but is noticeably weaker than my right one. I'd say I definitely have a 'dominant' right side (no innuendos please!).

I can lift drinks with either hand though... I know where my priorities lie :D

According to this poll (admittedly over 2 years old), 28 percent of MR readers are left-handed. According to Wikipedia, 9-10 percent of the general population is left-handed. That's about 3 times the average!

(BTW, I'm a lefty, too!)

Yeah, I eat right-handed too.

Along with just about everything else. Although approximately half of my typing is accomplished with my left hand.

Right on all matters. well... perhaps more centric politically. wait... no... I pick whatever makes sense? Never mind.

Right handed. Left politically. Ambidextrious on certain other activities that involve hands.....

Like eating and using a mouse you sick freaks :D

Right-handed.

But since we're on this topic, I'd like to ask the south-paws out there: One or two-button mouse? And, if two, how hard is it dealing with instructions for right-clicking vs. left-clicking?

Hell, I'm wondering how many left handed people even mouse with their left hand. Every lefty I know still uses their right hand to mouse

Right handed, but I like taking notes, using a mouse (not gaming), driving and...other things...with my left hand. On the other hand, my gaming mouse is for righties, so I don't quite have a choice there. Blasted Logitech!

Anyway, about the snowboarding, I can't do that. When I first started out, I had no idea if I was goofy or regular, and the guy at the rental shop tried to figure it out by pushing me unexpectedly and seeing which foot I step out with. Well, turns out he thought I wasn't goofy except I was and I honestly can't do anything the other way around, it's so impossible, was falling on my ass so much (as compared to later that day with everything the other way around) and freaking out because I'm not regular.   :D

Left handed.
Use a mouse with my left hand, but with conventional button settings (right click on the right).

I'm right-handed, but I can mouse with left or right. (switch back and forth based on wrist pain).

With three-button mice, left mousing requires left-mouse setup (ie, mirror image of right). For some odd reason, it was totally natural to switch between left and right mouse; no learning curve required.

Right handed for most things, except playing guitar.

Started when I was 6, and it just felt more comfortable lefty. Too bad, because it's a major PITA to find great lefty guitars.

I had to have the Gibson Custom Shop build me a one-off version of the Les Paul I wanted.

Lefthanded for most things except guitar(seems easier) and cricket(bowl leftie).Mouse any which way I got tired of changing back and forth.
