Lego: Jurassic Park: If you liked the movies and Lego games, this one is a lot of fun closely following the movies for Mac and PC! :D

Bought this game on sale, having troubles controlling vehicles on a PC keyboard. It sucks, but maybe it's operator error?

You use WSAD to move around, but after you jump into a vehicle I can't get it to go forward. A (left) and D (right) work to turn the wheels, but W and A don't work for forward and back. The only key that will make the vehicle move (in reverse) is the Special Key (K), which is getting annoying as it would be really nice to be able to drive forward. :p

In addition on the Jurassic Park side, at the beginning, getting through the second gate headed for the visitor center, I know that Dr. Grant is supposed to use his raptor tooth to cut a rope holding up a container, but when I select this and cut, it acts like something is happening but the rope is not cut, Ellie can't get up on a container to smash stuff necessary to fix the gate and I'm stuck. Is this game buggy? :(

Anyone have ideas other than to buy a console type controller? I'd like to use this with my keyboard.
Thanks!

This might be of little help but I seem to remember having great difficulty with the driving in Lego Batman when using the keyboard (not too sure, not played it for a few years now!) If it's the same sort of problem then all I can do is recommend getting a controller - the keys for driving in Lego Batman were so counter-intuitive I almost gave up on it.

If you're playing the Feral OS X port of it they've got a great list of gamepads that support Lego: Jurassic World that can be found here: http://support.feralinteractive.com/docs/en/legojurassicworld/latest/steam/faqs/#i_controllers

OK, figured it out. I had remapped J to Space and tried every key but that one for forward in a vehicle.

Thanks much, I'll check this out. As per my previous post, ideal would be PC/Mac/iOS, but I'm willing to sacrifice the iOS first, and MacOS second. My natural preference is Razer so I'm not having to use another game controller software in addition.

Hell upon hell, I use a wired Xbox 360 controller for my OS X / macOS gaming and the same when I'm booted into Windows. I really can't fault it - it's durable, had its big 'desk falls' countless times and my wife got so jealous she bought herself one! (Why she didn't do that in the first place is beyond me!)

For a wired Xbox360 controller and Mac and Windows are you using configuration software or just relying on the game to recognize the device?
Thanks.

I only game in Windows (via Boot Camp) these days. Just about all of my games support the Xbox controller natively - no configuration required.

Controls in this game kind of suck. I'm currently using a Razer gaming mouse, with a bunch of buttons programmed, and it's starting to work for me, however, I may purchase a console controller for comparison. Thanks for the info! :)

I started with Jurassic Park and now am up to Jurassic Park III. This game is a lot of fun, nice touches, outstanding background scenery! :):)

I'm quite tempted to get it myself now - I've not played a LEGO game for ages and always found them fun!

I recently bought this game for PS/3. I am up to 99.8% complete. Missing 3 gold bricks and it is driving me nuts to find them. Never thought of buying it to play on my 5K iMac!
