Adobe does say they are confident in recommending the master collection for Leopard. Apparently the bugs are not major ones that you would encounter in everyday use.

CS3 Design Premium working great on Leopard

I've been using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign pretty extensively since I installed Leopard last Friday. I haven't had any problems at all. I have had issues with a few other programs (ProPresenter, Safari, and iTunes syncing with my iPhone), but I haven't had a single crash or other issue with any of the CS3 programs I use daily.

I'm having a couple issues with CS3 in Leopard. Bridge crashes when jumping between files and folders at a reasonably fast speed. The Option key starts being eratic in Photoshop after an amount of time (sometines 10mins, sometimes an hour). By eratic, I mean it flickers between Option and Non-option mode when pressing Option (I hope that's clear enough). I have to restart PS to fix the problem.

Week-old 15" MBP. 2GB. CS3 was installed in Tiger. Leopard archive & install.

I use After Effects extensively and so far everything has run great. Seems a tad bit faster than on 10.4, also.

Thanks for the info! I've read in a few places now that there doesn't seem to be major problems with AE. Think I'm gonna have a date with Leopard this weekend...

can I ask what hardware you've got? MBP / iMac / Mac Pro?

Great thread... bookmarked!

I can't wait to get Leopard on my G5 but I need to be absolutely certain about CS3. My guess is that I'll do it over Christmas, so that I'll have time to put things right if it all goes tits up.

CS3 includes a lot of different apps and I'm not sure which
particular ones you use.

Contrary to some reports here, PS may not be completely
compatible with Leopard in its current state (where "it"
could refer to either OS X 10.5 or PS ).

The Adobe forums are well worth a look:

I am having a problem where my CS3 Design Premium apps will open just fine and act just fine until I open a document. The document acts like it is open (shows up under the Window menu pulldown, in the overview HUD, etc) but no document window is showing.

I need to quit and log out/login to get it working correctly again.

Clean install of Leopard on formatted HD and fresh install of CS3 (twice) by the way. CD-2.16 GHz-MBP-2 GB RAM

CS3 Design Premium function fine in Leopard.
There is apparently a memory leak in 10.5.1, which is exacerbated by the sheer volume of memory used by CS3.
PS input fields are weird in 10.5.1; sometimes they don't accept values typed into them.

10.5.2 is supposed to fix these issues.

I have CS3 installed on a MacBook which came with a fresh install of Leopard and I haven't had any problems. I did think it ran a bit slower than it does on my iMac, which has Tiger, but I attributed that to a difference in the machines, not the OS...could be wrong, though, I guess. I was actually planning to upgrade the iMac to Leopard very soon and now this has me wondering if it's the OS or the machine...

Most of my CS3 applications are running great on Leopard. Illustrator is great, no problems so far. InDesign has been spot on as well. But Photoshop has been acting quite buggy. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem... sometimes (typically after I've had the application open for a while and have opened a few different documents) when I want to scale an object/layer and I try to manually enter values in the tool bar at the top - it doesn't work. And then that box where I tried to enter the values gets really weird and I can't erase the values I entered - I mean its nothing DRASTIC, but its annoying not being able scale things to an exact percentage.
Anyone else?
Do you think a re-install would clear it up?

This problem has been confirmed as a Leopard issue.
10.5.2 will fix it.

Unfortunately, 10.5.2 did nothing to solve my problems. I did a fresh install of Leopard (completely erased the drive) and updated to 10.5.2, then reinstalled CS3 and I still can't open a document in Illustrator or InDesign.

I'm on a dual 2.7 GHz G5.

I upgraded to Leopard and PSCS3 crashed about every 10-15 minutes forcing me to leap back to Tiger.

Hopefully Adobe & Apple will combine forces to bring a good fix for this.

What hardware are you running this on? It works well for 99.999% of us. There is always the chance you have a hardware issue. Like an intermetent memory failure. The mac Pro solves this with it's ECC RAM but maybe you don't have am MP?

"MacBook Pro 17" 2.4 Intel" according to his profile (It wouldn't run on a G4)

Very strange.

Yea I've got a MB Pro I picked up last October or November with the Intel 2.4 and 2gb of ram. PS randomly closes and sometimes doesn't even give an error message. All software is legit, and I've yet to find a solution.

Nothing big here but I can't seem to hide InDesign....and that actually drives me crazy, I don't want to be using spaces, but we will see.

Photoshop Crash when SAVE

I'm having some issues with Photoshop. Runs fine and all but then I go to save and Crash.

Maybe I overlooked something, any ideas?

Hi!
Have you found the resason why PS CS3 crashes when tying to save?
I have just updated to LEOPARD and every other CS3 soft works great.

Please help
